millertime24 8 #26 October 30, 2008 Quote Quote The straws that were filled with flavored sugar. It just made a mess & did no harm. Ah yeah... I remember those, just didn't remember what they were called. What was the candy you most hated getting? Necco (sp?) wafers. Me? Those individually wrapped taffy-tasting chewables... I always threw those out. Muff #5048
LadiDadi 0 #27 October 30, 2008 QuoteI hate Halloween I couldn't agree with you more. I never got into Halloween because when I was really young, we lived in the middle of nowhere - trick or treating wasn't an option so we had to go to the stupid church parties or school parties. My husband always referred to Halloween as "How typical of Americans. Dress their children up like little idiots and send them door to door begging for candy." Imigrants are funny... Especially since, over the last few years, the month leading up to Halloween turns me into a one woman costuming department because of him. Quotenow fuck off and and go mug someone. We're going as Droogs. If all they get is mugged, they're getting off easy...If you can't laugh at yourself, I'll be happy to do it for you. **************************** Be like the cupcake and suck it up. turtlespeed 212 #29 October 30, 2008 QuoteI hated - and still hate: butterscotch anything those nasty concoctions called Cow Tails (taste like what you'd find under the cow's tail) Tootsie Pops root beer candies - especially the root beer Bottle Caps and those pumpkin things made out of candy corn stuff. I loved getting that hard candy that had the fizzy center - can't remember what they were called. I think you mean "ZOTZ"I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

skydiver30960 0 #41 October 30, 2008 Nowadays, the day AFTER Halloween is the best. It means two things are on a deep discount: 1.) Bags and bags and bags of unsold halloween candy. and 2.) Pumpkins! For roasted pumpkin seeds. Elvisio "two days and counting" Rodriguez

Misternatural 0 #45 October 31, 2008 The last kid I had visit on halloween was back in 2000- about the time I had trouble with the local gang of youngsters who built a BMX track on my land without asking me...I got the reputation of being a crazy mean old guy who tried to run one of their fathers off the road with a tractor while shouting obscenities at him after plowing their bike track under. The neighbors are speaking to me again after 7 years but all the kids have stayed away ever since. My mailbox has gotten smashed only once- but I have to be on the lookout every year for their *tricks* - these kids are very crafty. I hope they're all in college by now putting their skills to better use. Beware of the collateralizing and monetization of your desires. sky722 0 #46 October 31, 2008 hmm....making a track on your land without permission...? putting thumb tacks on their trail might have cost them a couple of tires..
Misternatural 0 #47 October 31, 2008 I don't know what kind of kids you have in your neighborhood but around here, payback is a bitch- trick with care cuz you never know what they have in store for ya later, plus you are usually outnumbered by those smart little buggers. it's funny because I use to play some of the same tricks on grownups back in the day, what goes around.....Beware of the collateralizing and monetization of your desires. LadiDadi 0 #48 October 31, 2008 QuoteLearn the words to "Singing In the Rain" I live in Seattle. I know the words to Singing in the Rain. We're planning on storming into the party with a portable stereo blasting a little Ludwig Van... The best 'treat' I've ever heard of for Halloween is courtesy of a guy that lives down the street from my sister. He always has a bowl of full sized candy bars for the kids and an ice chest full of beer and those little airline bottles of liquor for the grown ups.If you can't laugh at yourself, I'll be happy to do it for you. **************************** Be like the cupcake and suck it up.
