skymama 35 #10 December 7, 2009 I just had this conversation with a friend a few minutes ago. Call me old-fashioned, but I don't think a guy should be more afraid of something than I am. I didn't say he'd be a pansy though, I used a different p word. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

LuckyMcSwervy 0 #16 December 8, 2009 Quote Quote I'm a pussy because I never go on the wind dummy load. +1 Never fails that I land off on that load The one and only time I broke my own rule I had like 7 or 8 things go wrong. From my leg straps feeling funny (they were fine, I don't know what my problem was... I halted going up the stairs to the Otter for someone to check me YET AGAIN), to not putting my face shield down, to line twists that pinned my chin to my chest, to a loverly downwind landing.... Nope, never again. It was a mental thing, I'm pretty sure. Edited to add: Oh yeah, I broke a nail, too. Always be kinder than you feel.

davjohns 1 #25 December 8, 2009 Skydiving, SCUBA, hang gliding, competitive martial artist for years, competitive shooter, just returned from Iraq, former cop - and riding in the car with my teen daughter at the wheel routinely frightens me. I have pushed the imaginary brake pedal on my side through the floor.I know it just wouldnt be right to kill all the stupid people that we meet.. But do you think it would be appropriate to just remove all of the warning labels and let nature take its course.
