quade 3 #1 February 8, 2010 Facebook needs a way to acknowledge family members, but not let them stalk you. Or do you guys have a solution? I have a sister that's beginning to bug me. I can't do anything without her commenting on it or joining some group she has no business even knowing about. I can't just "defriend" her, but FFS she doesn't need to be involved in every comment I make on FB either. Is there a way to categorically limit family members?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
micduran 0 #2 February 8, 2010 create a "list" or "group" then change your security settings and only allow that list or group to view minimal items on your pageBe patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours.
usedtajump 1 #3 February 8, 2010 I just unfriended my brother and sister in law who I love dearly but can't stomach any more of the ultra conservative, right wing, lunatic fringe bullshit he suscribes to that shows up on my wall every few hours. The older I get the less I care who I piss off.

I think I'm going to write to FB and suggest they add a few options options; Family RW Friends LW Friends This way you could make a post and enjoy it with friends, but not the extremist wackos that are going to start a fist fight over a joke.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

Edited to add Ah . . . found it . . . wow that's convoluted!quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
micduran 0 #7 February 8, 2010 when you update your status there is a little picture of a lock. click on that then choose customize. you can then choose who can and cannot see your status. you can do the same when you make photo albums.Be patient with the faults of others; they have to be patient with yours. Southern_Man 0 #8 February 8, 2010 ummm, maybe you could talk w/ your family member, too? Nah, guess that's too honest and straightforward."What if there were no hypothetical questions?"
PhreeZone 15 #9 February 8, 2010 I went further and created a list for status update and only those people get to see the status, everyone else is on a restricted basis only. That way if I add someone as a friend they don't see anything until I approve what they see.Yesterday is history And tomorrow is a mystery Parachutemanuals.com

popsjumper 2 #22 February 9, 2010 You wussy. DE-friend those who annoy you! I threw out: 1 sister 2 nephews 2 nephew's wives 1 good friend in real life umpteen acquaintances that want to tell the world what they ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner and when they took a dump after each meal. AND of top of that, I got pitched by my sister-in-law for doing some of the same stuff your sister is doing. My reality and yours are quite different. I think we're all Bozos on this bus.
