rhystoo 0 #6 April 29, 2012 There is English Marmite (yuk) and NZ marmite (yum)... The NZ Marmite is made by Sanatarium which is an american company funnily enough. It is an acquired taste but most Kiwis are bought up on it.

Which yeast is used is going to change everything. Anytime you use yeast (bread beer, wine etc... and the fermentation time) will result in a product which is essentially the same, BUT NOT. lisa WSCR 594 FB 1023 CBDB

Abedy 0 #9 April 29, 2012 Your video was blocked, but I suspect it was about the REAL drop bear. Have a look! Never tasted Marmite, but Vegemite. I wouldn't eat it on my breakfast toast as my host did when I was on a course at ECU at Perth, but it's a nice spread for dinner, especially with German bread. The sky is not the limit. The ground is. A while ago I took a little bottle of the stuff over for popsjumper (couldn't think of any other signature UK product not easily available in the US) he hated it Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived. It is very salty and the closest I could descibe the taste is if you've ever tasted very burnt roast vegetablesThe advertising campaign was love it or hate it.
