Hey all Time for an update. Patches and stickers are ordered. 50% chance I'll have the patches on Saturday by 1:30 so I can hand some out at the memorial. Stickers will take longer. I'm speculating, partly based on the fact that I work for an American company with international presence, that they wish not to overwhelm the world with American holidays and allow some representation of other nations. After all, there are only 365 days in a year, and a couple hundred countries in the world, each with a dozen or more holidays. To have them all would not only be impossible, but would water down the significance of each. To only allow American holidays would be a little selfish. You'll note that most of the days celebrated are not national holidays, but dates of historical, cultural or scientific significance. Dates of a famous discovery or invention. Birthdays of historical figures. Dates of significance to the whole world, not just one nation. You may notice that the majority of the dates that pertain primarily to one nation are of American significance. But if it really bothers you that much, rather than rant about it here where nobody can actually do anything about it, why don't you email them and express your outrage?
