If you wade through the comments (be sure to wear rubber boots) you'll see a very common modern problem, though one that I think especially happens with photography. That is, people saying "that's not legal" with absolutely zero knowledge of and sometimes I think not even caring about what the law actually is.

We were talking about vision and driving and my wife pointed out that they no longer seem to test for color vision. Once she mentioned it I realized that yes, it's been quite awhile. Any ideas why they stopped? I'm assuming they just decided there wasn't any reason for it.

I'm trying to remember if I had R2s or R3s and if the both exist and if so what's the difference. This isn't a faded memory thing, I never managed to find out at the time.

That could explain one of my cutaways. I was going over on my back and compromised. I kept holding the reserve handle with my right hand as I went on over and stabled out. I had plenty of altitude but if I lost it I didn't want to have to look for a handle, just pull. But I had definitely been looking up at the piece of trash that should have been a parafoil as I chopped.

Was 20x referring to the cost of the Saturn V when it was built vs the Queen Mary when it was built? And 4x referring to if the Queen Mary was built the same time as the Saturn V? And I got 8x. I think we're in trouble.

How many of those school shooters have been recent immigrants, illegal immigrants or the immediate offspring of those? It is indeed getting pretty bizarre when all crime is blamed on immigrants. Gee, I wonder where I have seen that before, blame all the country's ills on a single, identifiable group. What has that got to do with it? More women are calling the police because they stopped treating wife beating as a joke. When a woman calls the police because she is afraid that the asshole who just beat her bloody is going to kill one of her children, then the police joke around with the so-called man and arrange for him to get a two week medical vacation to deal with his stress it does not encourage women to call them. Especially the smug look on his face when he beats her after they leave.

It's getting pretty bizarre on both sides, but one of the sleazier approaches is to tie things to immigration and if you don't agree with it as 'a reason for asylum' you're a heartless bastard who is pro bad things. Now advocates are fighting for domestic violence as a reason for asylum, and if you disagree you're a pro-wife beating Nazi. So, if you're husband is an asshole don't demand a local means of dealing with it, don't fight to improve things as women did in the US. Pack up the kids and go to the United States where husbands never beat their wives. Then when asshole shows up at the border we'll have to let him in because "hey, his whole family is here, what kind of cruel Nazis would keep him out?" This really has become a debate over letting everyone in or not. I've noticed that with the current immigration debate (to put it mildly) a lot of stuff is going straight from "the person said this is what's happening" to "this is what is happening."

Yup, I had a bunch of friends on Facebook posting that one and gave them grief over children being used as political props. Utter bullshit. Keep the kids out of it. From another picture you can see it's mostly late teens in there and that it's only a three sided "room" but it definitely muddies the water. I hate it whenever they use kids like that. The worst, to me, is for abortion protests. But whatever the cause, for or against, it's lowlife crap.

I don't think I'd put too much faith in stated reasons for migrating to the US. Economic migration doesn't have a high priority for a lot of decision makers, so now it's "gang violence." Is there really any way to know?

That's quite an ad. I wonder how affective it is since you'd pretty much have to be a skydiver to know how difficult that would be.Looks dangerous. Extra line flying everywhere. Damn, you weren't kidding. I just read about these. It seems more like parody than anything.

My biggest, of many, problems with an RSL is that there's no place to put it if you're on a jump where you need to disconnect it. If there were a small loop or something to allow you to safely stow it it would make it a little less out of the question for me.

I can't see how this post was anything but a way out of line personal attack on BIGUN based on nothing but ideas pulled out of someone's nether regions. It's just that it's become so common on here now that nobody notices anymore.
