  1. I didn't mean for manifest to do the organizing. I think that if it was on the load sheet for each load, before loading the plane, have someone or everyone look at it and come up with a game plan. Maybe assign a load organizer for each load just to organize the loading and landing of jumpers, that way you have a deciding voice and hopefully less bickering. I have often wondering why no one ever seemed to talk about their plan for landing, except for some people, like teams and friends that are jumping together. 2. Here's some ideas that I have. They are pretty much all things that we can all do a little to help out with, or a person or group can be assigned if so desired. Personally, I think the problem is that we don't seem to talk about what people are going to do under canopy. I know there is no way to dirt dive it exactly, but having at least an idea of what the battle field might look like, makes it a lot easier to get through. When new jumpers show up make sure someone (instructor, coach, or s&ta preferrably) talks to them about what is considered proper canopy flying at that particular drop zone (people seem to think we were all trained the same but we weren’t), don’t expect them to just know or figure it out. If we would police ourselves, as a group, the way we should be, we will not need new government regulations, laws, bsr's, or anything. We just need to start communicating about what we are planning to do on landing and speaking up about blatant violations. We also should start taking responsibility for ourselves and stop letting those in charge not do something when people do something that could seriously harm themselves or others. So here are my suggestions: 1. When people manifest have them say what they are planning to do on the jump, what they would LIKE to do on landing and where, and what color(s) their canopy is. (If you know what to look for, you also know what to stay away from) 2. Organize the entire load, including loading the plane and the landings, before people even get near the plane. If things work out right, the people that want to swoop can (if you know someone is swooping and where, they are, it’s much easier to avoid them). If anyone does anything that they did not plan (unless for safety reasons of course) or were told they could not do, ground them for at least the day, no exceptions. 3. If something is not done, don't manifest. If enough people don't manifest, something will have to be done. When they are not turning loads, they would be foolish, imho, to not do something to one person that is keeping potentially 5-10+people plus from jumping (at some places that is enough to slow loads dramatically). If you don't think your safety is worth standing up for, then how can you expect someone else to care enough to do something about it. If you care more about doing the jump, regardless of who is on it or what they are potentially going to do that could harm someone, why should the people that run the place not care more about something else as well. Will you miss a jump or two? Maybe. Will a record attempt not be done? Maybe (if people cared more about their safety then the jump), though I think if enough people did it at the same time, something would done. Will a dzo or two tell you to f-off? Probably, but your safety should be worth it (see above). But honestly, if people would stop screaming and yelling on here about it and actually take some action (and not necessarily just using my suggestions), I personally think things would change. But then again, maybe I'm just a dreamer with my head in the clouds. So anyway, there you have it. Thoughts? P.S. (I wrote this yesterday and didn’t have time to post it) I see some people are talking about taking action. But we will have to see how much gets done, especially before it becomes too regulated. 3. If you noticed the date at the end, Sept 5, 2010, he only did 11 jumps in 7 months. He's averaging 1.5 jumps a month, that's barely staying current. I feel sorry for the tandems that go to that place. They have no idea about any of it. They probably just assume that the people that are flying around them know what they are doing. 4. Saw this on a friend's facebook and thought you guys would get a kick out of it: "Must suck to be the dude I just saw at CVS buying condoms and getting his card denied. He just got cock blocked by visa" "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"
  5. Technically it is not their property. They did not buy or install in. You can clearly see that is in not even on their property, it is on the other side of the sidewalk (which is city property). Plus if they wanted the hoop so bad they have had plenty of time to move it (complaint was filed in Septmeber, that was six months ago). If it was in their driveway and the cops trespassed to remove it that would be one thing. But the city(or what ever government official) removed something that was on city property. Not only that, but you are seeing an edited version of the entire video. How do you know certain parts were not edited out so that it looks better from the homeowners stand point. Also, very few of the people on here, if any, know the whole story about what has been going on the last 6 months. Maybe the homeowner that complained had tried to talked to the neighbors first and got no where, or they might not have done so, but we don't know. Everyone that is freaking out over this is just flying off the handle based on partial information at best. I am not saying that the way the police handled it was the best. But the homeowners could have handled it in a lot better way as well. I am sure they received notice about it before they just showed and took the poles down. Even if they did not receive notice, the poles were on city property, they have the right to remove them if they so choose. Also, vandalizing someone's house or property makes you no more than a common criminal, not to mention immature, childish and disrespectful. (not sure if I read here or on other sites that people were talking about trashing the neighbor's yard and/or car, and/or the female cop's yard and/or car) "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"
  6. It is totally you, and not in the way that you think. First of all, it probably has more to do with the delivery of your opinion and thoughts, than the opinions and thoughts themselves. Secondly, try shifting your perspective on your prospects. When you focus most of your energy on what you don't want (no size 8 or larger, no moms, can't be this, can't be that), it is no wonder that is all you seem to attract. I bet you are the type when you find a woman with some quality that you really like, you wonder what else might be wrong with her. And when you look hard enough or only from one perspective you will surely find what you are looking for. And to answer your question, there is no average chick (see paragraph above) and lying is way more of a turn off. Lying will pretty much ensure unhappiness and more chaos. Speaking your truth is the way to ensure happiness and keep chaos at bay. "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"
  7. I personally think it is a good company and the potential to make good money is there, but only for about 4-10% of the population. Unfortunately, I think to really make money, for most people, it can take a long time and most people don't have that kind of patience. Also, I think if they pitched it differently they would get a better response. But then again they have been in business for 17 years and apparently friends with Donald Trump so they must be doing something right. On a side note: I met one of the guys that is in their video, gave him a massage actaully. I thought he looked familar but he had a hat on so I couldn't tell. He was very down to earth, very nice, talked about masage and playing music and other misc. stuff. He didn't even bring up ACN, I did when he said he worked in telecommunications. We talked about it a little, he said it takes time and patience. Took him a long time to get to svp. Some people get lucky and rocket to the top quick but its seems to be a select few. 8. Its ACN, which sells cell phone service contracts to all the contract providers, local & long distance, satellite tv and security. You get a percentage of the services that you get people to sign contract with you for. It is a network marketing/mlm system where your goal is to get people to sign up to sell the services as well. You then get a percentage of the services they sell as well. Some people do really well and many do not. I know a few people that are/were signed up. Some did nothing, some did ok for a little while, some are doing good and some are doing great. But, generally it is not as easy as the successful ones try to make it sound. 9. Congrats on the new job and new beginnings. Drive carefully and be safe. See ya in Eloy one of these days
  10. Cool, if I think I'm going to make it down I will let you know. I want to try to make it there either sun (the 6th) or wed (the 9th), but will see how things go. The St. Patty's boogie is a lot of fun, I've gone pretty much every year. You would have to fly there (or drive about 28+ hours straight). I just checked flights for a friend, $299 round trip direct to Atlanta (I should have waited, could have saved myself some $). "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"
  11. What days are you going to be in Eloy? I generally have a few days off a week, so maybe I will try to make it down for a week day jump. Also, I know its the other side of the country, but there is a pretty good boogie going on in Georgia the 16th-20th. "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"
  12. Hi Hopey, One of the best times of the year to come, the weather is damn near perfect. I am sure you will find someone to jump with. If I am able to make it down there I will jump with you. Chiquita "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"

  14. Here's some food for thought, they get most of their information from surveys people fill out, memberships cards for stores, applications on facebook, and things like that. And some of it is public record, like home ownership. People give a lot of their information, apparently without realizing it, out to people that sell it. Then sites like this just gather the information that is out there all over the place and put it all in one place. All the information on me is an old address and says I have live there for 3 years when I haven't lived there for almost 4 years now. "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"
  15. Tell me about it. A manager at a restaurant that I used to work at gave me a review once of a 3 out of 5, 5 being the best. He said he rarely ever gave a 4 and never ever gave anyone a 5. (I knew pretty much everything about the menu, computer system and trained a large part of the staff, and pretty much did my share and then some every day) He said he wanted to give people something to strive for, to motivate them. I told him he was an idiot and all it did was demotivate people (except maybe a few people), and managing people like that is why we had such a turn-over in staff. I must say I was kind of surprised I didn't get fired. Here's karma though: last I heard he got a job at some bank, and a regular that he had pissed off, had him transferred under her so she could make his life hell. 18. I think it is funny that most people seem to be implying that was loan from a parent would not be paid back. To me it they are willing to LOAN you the money there is nothing wrong with that as long as you pay them back. It would be the same as using credit cards or getting a loan from a bank. I can guarantee you nearly everyone that said they would not get ask for a loan from parents has used credit cards for many things, so how is that any different. Based on what they are saying they should not have used the credit card and should only buy things that they can pay cash for. So that would mean no car loans, no mortgages, no student loans. I hardly know anyone that has not used a loan of some kind for something. So why should it be considered any different if it comes from your parents or the bank. If someone is looking to have their parents give them money and they are not planning on paying them back, that's another story. That is a hand out, not a loan. Or if the person is planning on skydiving still while borrowing money, that is completely different as well. But if they legitimately need the money and are going to pay it back, I see no problem with that. "Ego is the anesthesia that deadens the pain of stupidity"
  19. Are you kidding me? Two of the best professional massages that I have gotten have been from guys, one had 10 years experience and one had 20 years. They were pretty much the only ones that have been able to really get into the tension spots I have but kill me either. I'm not saying woman can't give a great therapeutic massage, as I think I give a pretty damn good one, but most of the ones I have had a massage by either can't go deep enough or can really hurt (there's a difference between hurts so good and f-ing hurts). 22. So who all is heading down from Atlanta area on Wednesday and when? I have a ride but I am sure if they could head down earlier they would be happy. So I figured I would see if anyone is heading down in the afternoon. Also, I will have a massage table (having it shipped so no worries about trying to fit it in a car) there so if anyone needs any kinks worked out while there let me know.
