  1. What concerns me is - surely this comes under gross negligence/incompetance? The IAEA clearly had documented sites with known explosives/military equipment. Surely the first thing you do when you invade is to "secure" these sites. I mean they planned for the oil sites why not these? 350 tons is probably a decent supply for the "insurgents" - a standard 18 wheeler is 30 tons I guess so its dozen 18 wheelers full of explosives. 2. Well our "war" to prevent terror has scored another resounding success - not http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/3950493.stm 350 tons of conventional military explosives have gone "missing" since the US led invasion. Explosives were previously monitored by the UN prior to the invasion... Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  3. Well my wife is going to freak out. She entrusted our 4 yr old twins to me for the day while she went out I have been working for 2 hours with noise around me - to notice that they have "washed" the kitchen, painted the lounge floor, painted themselves & generally torn the place up! Don't know how they've done it but it's going to take time to put right... Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  4. I don't see a problem with it for some of the "minor" crimes. I am not sure if they still do it - but when I was younger in Zimbabwe the police were allowed to "cane" offenders for certain minor crimes. The punishment was issued by a judge (number of strikes etc) and from memory it was a fibreglass rod and they laid a salt laden blanket across your bare arse... (my older brother was the recipient due to "teenage" pranks) - no prison problem was solved and no criminal record either. He soon got over the pain and didn't need hospital treatment to patch him up. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3762028.stm Well we now know that the US will not have "free & fair" elections in Florida - CrazyIvan for one is not going to be able to resist is he?? Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  6. you need to be carefull here. At 100Mph you will lose your licence. We got a new car recently BMW sport and I was sitting on cruise control at 100 and a cop came up behind so I dropped to 70 ASAP and he sat and tailed us for about 15 minutes... Luckily I haven't ever had a ticket but then I usually stick to the limit Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  7. Lets hope that somebody out there finds a way to resolve this mess. I find it really sad how many people are dying in Iraq. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

    Sleep sex

yeah but this was a middle aged woman. Seriously surely the strangers would "know" that she was asleep - assuming its true? I mean I can't figure a woman picking up men that easily? Unless they figured she was a hooker Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

    Sleep sex

interesting... I was just following the line of thought about "concenting partners" and such like - if you're asleep you can't consent. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  12. having worked near London for the past 7 yrs the disruption from the IRA significantly dropped off after the Good Friday agreement - a political and not military solution. I am not denying that the SAS/British military did not minimise the terrorist threat but do not think that it solved the problem. I will have to research on the Malaysia terrorists as I do not know - but thanks for the lead. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/3744226.stm first of all do you believe this? Second - would this be classed as rape? Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  14. The majority of the US military that I have dealt with over the past 18 months have usually expressed one of the following sentiments: a) Iraq was a mistake and distraction b) It is a quagmire that they don't see the end of (this sentiment from includes a guy sitting next to me on the plane to Washington - just finishing his tour of duty in Baghdad and it was said in November 2003!) Not a single member of your armed forces that I have spoken to are not "loyal" to your president though. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  15. In history has any terrorist group been defeated using the "military" option? Genuine question as I do not know and I know that you were anti-war (certainly in the case of Iraq) and yet you appear to be implying that the US military can "beat" the terrorists. I realise that you directly refered to a "milatary battle" and not terrorists directly though. Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  16. oh so that's what I am doing wrong - I should stop hitting on the female passengers in order to join the mile high club?? Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.

  18. Hurricane hits Essex A major Hurricane (Shazza) measuring 7.8 on the Beaufort scale hit in the early hours of Monday. Epicentre: Basildon, Essex. Victims were seen wandering around aimless muttering "faaackin ell" ... The hurricane decimated the area causing approximately £30 worth of damage. Several priceless collections of mementos from the Balearics and Spanish Costa's were damaged beyond repair. Three areas of historic burnt out cars were disturbed. Many locals were woken well before their giro arrived. Essex FM (County Radio Station) reported that hundreds of residents were confused and bewildered, still trying to come to terms with the fact that something interesting had happened in Basildon. One resident - Tracy Sharon Smith, a 15-year-old mother of 5 said "It was such a shock, my little Chardonnay-Mercedes came running into my bedroom crying. My youngest two Tyler-Morgan and Megan-Storm slept through it all. I was still shaking when I was watching Trisha the next morning." Apparently though, looting, muggings and car crime did carry on as normal. The British Red Cross has so far managed to ship 4,000 crates of Sunny Delight to the area to help the stricken locals. Rescue workers are still searching through the rubble and have found large quantities of personal belongings, including benefit books, jewellery from Elizabeth Duke at Argos and Bone China from Poundland. HOW CAN YOU HELP? This appeal is to raise money for food and clothing parcels for those unfortunate enough to be caught up in this disaster. Clothing is most sought after, items most needed include: -- Fila or Burberry baseball caps -- Kappa tracksuit tops (his and hers) -- Shell suits (female) -- White sport socks -- Rockport boots -- Any other items usually sold in Primark. Food parcels may be harder to come by, but are needed all the same. Required foodstuffs include: -- Microwave meals -- Tins of baked beans -- Ice cream -- Cans of Colt 45 or Special Brew. 22p buys a biro for filling in the compensation forms £2 buys chips, crisps and blue fizzy drinks for a family of 9 £5 will pay for a packet of B&H and a lighter to calm the nerves of those affected. **Breaking news** Rescue workers found a girl in the rubble smothered in claret - 'Where are you bleeding from?' they asked - "ROMFORD" said the girl, "woss that got to do wiv it?" 19. I don't think many anti-war people on dz.com have denied that in the past Saddam a) Had WMD at some point b) Had WMD facilities at some point This article clearly states that the articles in question had UN seal on them PRIOR to the war to show that they had not been tampered with accessed without UN approval... There is no discrepency with the anti-war argument WMD facilities that had been disabled by the UN and subsequently monitored proves that they were "safe" facilities and not a threat. 20. yip - you're from the UK where gun crime is out of control and people get shot every 15 minutes btw - I like you're thinking a war for cheap assault weapons not oil makes far more sence its a better vote winner Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  21. PJ the report is based on the fact that PRIOR to invasion the UN was monitoring these sights - now entire BUILDINGS have disappeared. Bush has goofed this one and there is no defending it... Experienced jumper - someone who has made mistakes more often than I have and lived.
  22. I think he had made up his mind - even the September dossier was fairly heavily caveated. Blair was clearly negligent though as it was only recently that he admitted to not knowing key facts - i.e. 45 minute claim details etc. And yes cutting defence spending now is stupid...
