  1. Need some help... I have 2 TC-10 altimeter test stands, one is in the states and the other is coming due for calibration. I send them back to the states to get calibrated but that is getting to be a pain in the ass. I am in Rota Spain, I am hoping that someone knows of a calibration lab in Spain that I can take it to. Some place near the Rota area. Any help would be great. John - D.S 1313 "I'll jump it, Np. It's all good"
  2. I am a JAV man myself, my rig is a JAV all 15 of my work rigs are JAVs. I have jumped others, Mirage, Infinity, Vector, I even have a Talon container sitting in my closet but I have to say I have yet to find anything as comfortable as a JAV. John - D.S 1313 "I'll jump it, Np. It's all good"
  3. I think apple has the best phones on the market right now I own a iphone4. But I have an android tablet. Android is coming along but IOS is still best OS for a phone. John - D.S 1313 "I'll jump it, Np. It's all good"
  4. I just bought 2 drift cameras and 1 contour + and a helmet with mounts from them. One of the drift cameras did not work when it was shipped to me sent them an email and they shipped me a new one the next day. Great service, I will use them again. John - D.S 1313 "I'll jump it, Np. 5. How I got started. The military told me to go to static line school, so I did. Then they told me to go to SL jumpmaster school, did that. Then they said go to freefall, thought cool and went. Then they said go be a freefall jumpmaster, hard course. Now I jump out of Helos, C130's, C17's, and anything else I can get in. Night jumps and water jumps are the best. The two best jumps so far, 25,000ft night jump and a 5000ft jump over the ocean. I have my B and only a couple jumps away from my C, with no intention at stopping. John - D.S 1313 "I'll jump it, Np. 6. All the above should be an option. Or free for all would be nice. John - D.S 1313 "I'll jump it, Np. It's all good"

  10. I can't add anything else. Video is a very helpful tool. I would pay the extra till you are finished. I hand video from jump 1-7 it was a great teaching tool. John - D.S 1313 "I'll jump it, Np. It's all good"

  13. Nice pictures, makes Benning look like fun. But its not, I hated every day there. Back when I was there we jumped the MC1-E. You fell out of the sky very fast. John - D.S 1313 "I'll jump it, Np. It's all good"
  14. If the show ever comes to Rota, Spain sign me up. I could use some new ink. John - D.S 1313 "I'll jump it, Np. It's all good"
  15. I had the same situation come up with a friend and had no problem telling him to buy a new canopy and a few other things before I would pack it. The civilians don’t go by the same rules as us. When I am packing an older rig I hang it and inspect the material and stitching really well. If you feel that it is still safe to jump then pack it. If you see spots of concern you can do a fabric pull test to see if the material is still strong. Basically it comes down to you. If you don’t feel comfortable packing it, take it to a master rigger and ask him, if you don’t have one around don’t pack it. Edit for spelling John - D.S 1313 "I'll jump it, Np. It's all good"
