speaking of First skydives and speeding, has anyone else noticed that they are speeding after skydiving? I had a bad habit of doing at least 100 and not only did not notice, but felt like I was going slow

sort of the same thing for my DZ. The way it was described to me was a partial malfunction was anything where a canopy was over your head, such as line twists, collapsed end cells, line over, etc. a total malfunction is a bag lock, no pull, Hard pull

Yeah, in CA the PD is supposed to calibrate like every three months or something. Also, from what I remember of traffic school, CalTRans has to rate the road for a certain speed, regardless of what the posted speed limit is. If you could prove that you were driving safely even though you were speeding, i.e everyone around you was doing 15 over the speed limit, and in order not to be a hazard, blah blah blah..... If the cop doesn't show, make SURE to ask to have it dismissed. Good luck, oh and try to talk to the court clerk for the continuance instead. One too many tickets in my time

Definitely!!!!! Sounds like a lot of fun!!! I'm enjoying trying to learn to Sit but it's hard as hell when I'm the only one there. RW is a blast as well, I just need to find a regular group to practice with. Jumping with these guys or that is cool and fun, but it seems that consistency helps a bit more. I did the 4 way camps back in August and that was a blast. IT took us til the 3rd jump to keep everyone together for more than a few seconds but was definitely worth it. So Definitely this weekend if the weather holds. Are you two planning on Sat or Sun or both? P.s. What OS are you using? Newer versions of Win9x will let you use a JPG as wallpaper. Pick any skydiving pic you like and apply it. YOu might have to use the stretch option but usually it doesn't distort too much. This is mine which Skydive Monterey sent me

Hmmmm..... But how many jumps is that on average?? You figure that a stong UV day would be in the summer when you'd be jumping the most. Avg time under canopy would be what, 5 minutes to round off? Another 10-15 for packing unless you pack in the hangar (0-2UV)or under shade (4-7 UV)), which would mean 12 (min) to (80max) # of jumps and we could expect to lose 60% strength? Is the math right? I guess my question is, when I own my own rig, should I be checking the lines that often?

Roulette is the only table I've been able to hold my own. If you stay with the even money or the 3:1 odds, I can paly for a while and usually walk out with a coupla bucks. BJ and slot poker is a a quck loss
