  1. From what I've heard, it sounds more like an expensive hobby.
  2. Hmmm....that kinda skates over the line into troll territory. Oh well, I guess it's no fun being ignored either. I thought about that, but It's all still a part of a sincere point that I'm trying to make. And it's not so much about being ignored. It's just that sometimes people don't want to put forth any effort unless you poke their ego a bit.
  3. No, of course not. I just had to throw that in there because if I don't at least try to be somewhat provocative I don't get any action.
  4. You think I'm gonna let you off the hook just because you said Merry Christmas? Ok, ya, maybe I am.
  5. Due compensation in the context of using it here? Less than nothing. What was I thinking making an ethics argument against liberals getting free shit? I should've said that just because it has a watermark doesn't give you the right to steal it. A watermark is used as a deterrent with the hope that you won't use it due to the lesser quality and would only demonstrate how cheap and desperate you are. But whatever, I'll agree that the author really isn't losing any money and nobody here is really making any money off it, so the net benefit is free advertising for the author/company. But still, they could make a stink about it if they wanted it to. Besides, these people work hard, throw a couple bones, especially if you're the type of person always bitching about low wages.
  6. Thanks, had to look it up. I would've thought it was some type of autoerotic prison sex.
  7. Just because something is watermarked doesn't mean it's ethical to use it without due compensation.
  8. Yes, like Jesus. Jesus never questioned the existence of God. Hannity on the other hand questioned the existence of any evidence Powell had to support her claim and tucker called her out on it. So I reaaly don't know wtf you're talking about.
  9. This took .6 seconds to find. I find NPR credible and the quote was by a Dominion Lawyer. And by the by, it was you who said I was lying and uninformed, hence the onus is on you. Oh, so he didn't lie, he just promoted the lie? How did he promote it, by asking her if she had any evidence and why these supposed witnesses weren't coming forward?
  10. It's on you to show me where he actually lied. I'm honestly curious to know if you even bothered to watch the Sidney Powel interview? While he didn't immediately dismiss her claim, he did ask several followups about why these supposed witnesses weren't coming forward and why they needed protection before they do, and if these voting machines were even examined to provide any evidence that supports these claims. As for other Fox programs, which Fox programs? I know Tucker talked about it, but that was basically to call her out for not providing any evidence, and how she eventually told them to leave her alone when they pressed her on it. Last I heard she was up for disbarment, but not sure where they're with it.
  11. So Webs not only lied about hannity lying, he lied about you buying into it as well. If that was Dominion Voting Systems, they'd sue dropzone.com for giving him a platform to spout his defamation.
  12. We already talked about all this in the crypto mining thread, about how the energy issues are being resolved, and that for many people it's not necessarily the "investment" in crypto where they find value but through the practical use of blockchain technology for a variety of applications.
  13. Just like everything else, it's just a matter of when. But I bet my prediction happens before yours.
  14. Where is the value supposed to come from? In this context, I guess it's the opportunity for the little guy to take from the big guy.
  15. The problem IS Crypto. Soon, the nearly 1,855 other bitcoin-like currencies out there will begin to tumble. This was a bad investment from the beginning. I looked into it in the beginning, but chose not to pursue it. It was a solution looking for a problem. He's right that it didn't matter which currenncy was used in the fraud, but ya, the silver lining is that bad actors will tumble away along with their useless coins, regulations will make it more stable, but with less opportunity for the little guy.
  16. Ya, I'm not gonna give him a pass on giving her a mouthpiece, but was he really lying? He may've commited perjury tho, if anything.
  17. Depends on what the poll discloses. You might see the percentage of gay people decrease, because there are now other "options" to chose from in a poll. it is then easy to start claiming the percentage of gay people is decreasing and therefor society rally doesn't have to do much for them anymore. I guess I'd be more interested in fluctuations of bisexual activity and society's role in the personal decisions creating that variance. Also the number LGTQ's that would also identuify as bisexual. And the number of straight people that are on the fence (if only they could get past those damn innibitions, what their family might think and natural feelings of guilt or shame related to sexual feelings, thoughts, experiences in general. (YMMV) Then there's people that can't be happy unless they have the best of both, or all worlds at the same time. Who's the government to deny those rights? Even some religious groups and independants/libertarians would support that. So I'm thinking poligamy is next once this all dies out. We'll be at LGBTQAIP, almost a 3rd of the way from changing the entire order of the alphabet as well.
  18. Looks like we're gonna settle on drones when it comes to any mass application, which makes sense given the drive for autonomy. But even now there are already recreational idiots causing problems and flying in places or a manner in which they shouldn't along with paranoid people thinking that they're spying on them or trying to takes pics of their bikini butt on the beach. Please, you're not special. Besides, a 48 megapixel iphone from 10ft away still has more detail than a drone flying 100-400ft away in all directions.
  19. She's a fictional character based on a stereotype, isn't it fun!
  20. Read to me like she was talking about a sentencing decision, life in prison or death row. Although that doesn’t really make sense. My gut feeling is that justice was probably served, but at the same time I'm like wtf did I just read?
  21. You are so far the only person commenting on those judgements in anything but a positive matter. Just what is the point you are trying to make? I might be lacking imagination here, but to me the stuff said about Sandy Hook is probably the most offensive thing you could possibly say about someone, so anything else isn't going to be as bad and should cost less than 965 million dollars. So it's nothing to be triggered about, sorry I couldn't deliver.
  22. I really don't care much for how this particular article is written. It's basically somewhat of a self congratulatory political puff piece that doesn't even talk much about the actual science behind the acheivment. 1. This tech is the result of over 60 years of research and deleopment, yet the first couple of paragraphs are going on about Biden's goal of net-zero carbon and the Biden-Harris Admin's commitment to combatting climate change, etc. 2. If the democrats had their way back in the mid 90s, it's likely none of this would've even been possible due to their introducing a bill designed specifically to prohibit funding for the construction/operation of the NIF or any other facility that uses inertial confinement fusion. 3.People can go on about climate change this and climate change that, but this is more of a proof of concept and any practical commercial application is still about 30+ years out, and even then it's more likley to come by way of magnetically confined fusion rather than inertial. 4. In addition to the self congratulatory tone and comments about net zero and combatting climate change, the article compares the process to those "inside exploding nuclear weapons," lmao. I mean wtf, are these writers even capable of writing something more palatable that appeals to the general populus of the U.S? These people continually have to use unecessary buzzwords that just turns people off and are more susepible to division and pushback. Anyway, I appreciate the effort and update, but here are some articles linked below that are more objective/infomative are more suitable for Bonfire (and socitey in general for that matter.) https://www.cnet.com/science/major-energy-breakthrough-milestone-achieved-in-us-fusion-experiment/ https://www.cnet.com/science/fusion-energy-had-a-big-breakthrough-what-it-really-means/
  23. For about 965 million dollars you're free to say whatever the hell you want, apparently. Anyone have the estimates for doing whatever the hell you want?
  24. Gross US & Canada - $15,801 Opening weekend US & Canada - $9,694 Gross worldwide - $15,801
  25. When reading your post, I was wondering how many bi-sexuals in those surveys from the past would just choose the side they were more comfortable with disclosing, for whatever reason. Maybe some didn't even realize they were bi-sexual. Anyway, it seems that nowadays we might have more accurate surveys, so it will be interesting to see if those percentages change moving forward. It would tell us a lot.
