  1. I'd love to get this bitch's number and prank call her all day.
  2. I've never jumped there. I'm assuming you don't agree with the consensus. I'll remember in my head to tally you in (-1 vote for LODI being unsafe). I also heard through the grapevine that the DZO is a douche. Is that true?
  3. My god, man. Everyone seemed to miss what the OP was ASKING. What is this? An intervention? Just answer the fucking question! Lol. Lodi comes to my mind. Some people say it's not the safest DZ, but that's just hear-say; I have never jumped there. Crank those jumps out man. Have fun! Lodi is my home DZ. idk what isnt safe about it. its a great place. $5 hop and pops and $15 jump tickets. tons of wingsuiters out there as well as RW and freeflyers. everyone out there is awsome and totally willing to help. there is TONS of traffic through that place as well as some pretty sick planes. its a great place to go. if you end up going to Lodi hit me up and ill meet ya out there. 1. I heard on hop-n-pops they don't cutback on jump run, and there was actually an incident where a jumper hit the stabilizer. 2. It's not a USPA Dropzone. Whether it be urban legend or not, there seems to be a consensus that because it is not governed by USPA, people don't follow the same rules.
  4. What is the definition of ironic? A guy posting about why someone should not crank out a bunch of jumps because of XYZ, and his (GLIDEANGLE) fucking tag line says: JUMP MORE; BITCH LESS Hahhaahahhaaha

  6. shower is great. sauna sucks...especially when you're wasted and about to throw up because its sooooo damn hot, but you CAN"T stop because the last thing you need is to take a break and allow her to realize that she is making a poor decision! Lol.
  7. a car with the windows rolled up... ...vagina juice and latex smells AWFUL!!
  8. For the past year or so at Perris, there have been only RW events; as far as freeflyers go, they have migrated to Elsinore. And people visiting the area have told me that "Perris is a thing of the past [as far the freefly scene goes]" Did Perris intentionally carve out their niche as an RW dropzone? Looking at who does the marketing for both DZ's, I know that Dan BC only promotes RW and at Elsinore, MEL promotes both RW AND FREFFLY.
  9. Yeah, and I heard about a guy from the 40's that hit an airplane in GERMANY! To make it easier, please scan back the past 5 years and see how many people you can come up with that nailed a plane in mid-air... I don't even know why I'm still in this thread. This crap is hardly in your control. You can scan before exit, but really with a plane traveling at a high speed, you're probably not going to see it any way. Might as well discuss things that are a significant problem and in your control....outta here.
  10. ok...so that's 2 skydivers total, right? And what year did this happen? It's significant when people die, but come on man!!!! seriously?
  11. No not necessarily. You've seen it happen, ok. Now if you're going to say that this happens to be a signifcant problem, I would say you're a dorkzoner. Like I said, I've never seen it happen and no one else I know has seen it happen. Maybe they just have better traffic controllers at Perris/Elsinore? Sometimes I have to remember that all DZ's and their safety-culture are not created equal Hmmm, My home DZ is Perris and both times for me were at Perris...... Talk to Tim bout aircraft not on radio and flyin HUA...... For me-one a new pilot toolin along low and cruised under our 4 way as we opened-a slow moving 182 out and low against the ground is tough to see. (I look closer now!) Second was a small jet-blasted thru jump run between groups at bout 9000ft. He was goin fast!!!! At his speed he had to be so far away on exit I don't think anyone could know he was coming till too late. And I'm sure I looked real spastic pointin at that jet with my eyes bugged out! O boy! Can I be a dorkzoner now too?! Wow, that's crazy. Never seen that happen at Perris. When did this happen? Yeah, you can be a dorkzoner if you want to add significance to a situation that has never been a significant cause of near misses, injuries, or fatalities in skydiving. Don't forget, we're talking about near misses, and indirectly referring to people getting hit because why else would we care about near misses? And my original response was refering to that type of situation being a problem. It's not. Jut skim through the fatality lists... Let's focus more on the 80%, not the 20%
  12. Contact MIRAGE. Even if you don't have an articulated harness, it's not that expensive to adjust. If i bought a used rig, the first thing I'd do is custom fit the harness by sending it in to the manufacturer.
  13. Exactly, so jump f$%k out and PRAY that you don't get struck by a plane. That's what I'm thinking every jump. Sometimes people actually designate me as "OTTER SPOTTER" (we coined the term :-)) on the jump. I just fly outside the formation and make sure to alert the guys if any planes are closing in on us.
  14. People always ask me about their knee injury because I had mine, so here's a little update on what the doc diagnosed mine as in case something similar happens to anyone. No wind landing, so when I hit the ground I fell on my knee cap and slid on it for about 10 feet or so. That caused the patella (knee cap) to jam inward and up (MRI showed quadricep tendon signaling). When this happens, TRAUMATIC CHONDROMALACIA can be the result. The cartilage behind the patella is softened or fragments break away, and since it's articular cartilage (no blood supply) the recovery is a very very long time. Until then, soreness and swelling result from too much walking, going up/down stairs, and squatting. and as a result of swelling, muscle atrophy starts to kick in, which just makes matters worse. Doc said the same thing happened to his friend and it took about 6 months to heal. It's been about 4 months for me and my range of motion is starting to comeback. Not as much effusion. and the muscle atrophy is getting better through muscle stim at PT and pool exercises.

  16. No, it's not. I'd venture there have been at least a billion jumps in history. How many jumpers have ever impacted a lower flying plane? Dude, a lot of people on here are going to inflate the significance of events or risk because they are dorkzoners (internet skygods). I have never even come close to this type of situation and neither has anyone I know.
  17. When I see drug use or heavy alcohol use from any skydiver, their reputation goes WAY down in my eyes. I once learned that a rigger was dropping acid just a few days before she packed my reserve. When she gave me my rig, the fucking RSL was connected to one of the 3-rings! WTF! I once got freefly coaching from someone that showed up that morning and I could smell the alcohol from across the room. Big let down. List goes on and on. The more you stick around, the more you'll be amazed at how reckless and immature some skydivers are.
  18. ridiculous. go to the dealership and get some plugs for your car. Mine come pre-measured when I buy them from the dealership specific to my car... so just pop them right in. ya, they "POP" right in!.. hahaha, you ever thought about selling cars? you would make a great salesman! Ok, since most of you are so ignorant to flame someone without really asking any questions: The car that I had was a 2001 ford focus hatchback. The plugs that I bought were pre-gapped for MY CAR at the dealership, and yes they were ready to go. I was told to just make sure none of them were compressed or looked irregular compared to the others. Everything looked great. On my car, the plugs are right in front; so yes, they are easily accessible and just PLOP right in you douche (Not the case with my old 4Runner -- that was a 2 hour job). Those plugs work great and my car runs great. Suck it biaaattcchhh :-)
  19. I compare them all side by side to make sure that during shipping they didn't get compressed.
  20. ridiculous. go to the dealership and get some plugs for your car. Mine come pre-measured when I buy them from the dealership specific to my car... so just pop them right in.
  21. Absolutely ridiculous. I have about 600 jumps and still have my A license. Whats the point in getting anything higher than that? I can jump out of balloons/helicopters and do night jumps because of my jump number.
  22. 1 week turnaround?? From scratch?
  23. Don't get the wrong idea from this guy's post. This is definitely the exception and not the rule. As long you let it heal, and slowly get back into sports, everything will be ok. I can't even remember which ankle I sprained; just goes to show you.
  24. I had a really bad sprained ankle years ago. Had a removable case for a couple months and was all healed up by 3 months. My ankle was purple, black, blue, and green. haha, it was a really bad sprain.
  25. Well, the first "cool looking" pad you have to pull is your cutaway handle........think about it............ To the OP, I order EVERYTHING from Gary @ KarnageKrew. He's online broker from Australia and I've got nothing but great things to say about doing business with him.
