I completely disagree with this. Of Course it depends on the Dog, Certain DOGS should not be left with Children But not just because of their Breed. I grew up with a Pitt Bull. She was my constant Companion as a child. The dog followed me everywhere I could take it and always slept in the same bed with me. I had two much younger Siblings that were also constantly around my dog. As children tend to do, they would try to ride her, Pull her ears and even occasionally slap at her. My Pitt Bull NEVER even showed her teeth. The Dog was EXTREMELY protective of us. The only time it caused problems was if I had done something to get into trouble, My Mother would have tell me to take the dog outside for a while because she knew better than to raise her voice at me with the dog still in the house. We also had several other dogs at different times. A German Shepard we had snapped at one of brothers once. The Pitt Bull killed it right then. As Children, We were NEVER any safer than when we were with that Dog. Every Dog is different. The entire PITT BULL thing is blown out of proportion by the media. Most All dogs will bite if provoked and can hurt or Kill a Human (especially a Child). Pitt Bulls are a great Breed if they are raised properly and can be trusted around Children as much as any other dog if they have been properly raised.

Seems easy enough to prove violations of 372-A(1), 372-A(4), 372-A(8), 372-A(12). Any DZO out there who feels that they have been damaged by these practices should have cause to file suit in Georgia under this statue and should have a pretty easy time getting an Injunction to stop these practices and possibly damages.

I have two Neices that are the same age, I got them the DDR Max 2 Game and a Dance Pad for their PS2 for Christmas. They loved it. The best thing about these games is that they are somewhat athletic and get the kids off their Ass while playing games. I am not sure if Boys the same age would like it as much but I know the Adults were fighting with the kids over who goes next.

Do Honor and Integrity not have any value to you at all? Does supporting a business that will LIE, Cheat and STEAL not bother you at all? I do not want to get into the usual Pissing match with you here, but I too have played semi-pro for years. I have played with the best in the world many times over I can assure you that I have NEVER played in any serious Tournament where the Floor was not called at least a few times for a Ruling. The best one I have seen was at the Rome GA DZ. There was field next to the landing area that was pretty grown over. The DZO Cut "Lucky, Will You Marry Me" in 15 Foot Letters with a Mower and they put Flour or something in the letters to make it real visible. It was a fairly busy day that day with quite a few tandems and fun jumpers. No one said a word to the Bride to be until she finally got on a Load that afternoon. Everyone kept her distracted in the plane so that she would not see the proposal until she left the plane. When She landed, Peanut was there on one Knee. They were married at Rantoul this year by none other than our own RevJim.

Actually this is the Rule in every major Poker Room in the country. For the most complete set of Poker Rules see Roberts Rules of Poker. This Rule Book Covers almost all situations that could cause disagreements at the table. It is a good Idea to have this on hand for reference in case there is any problem at the table. Another good source for Rules is the TDA (Tournament Directors Association). The biggest problem newer players have is String Bets and Understanding the One Chip/Over Chip Rule. Make sure you explain these rules very well before starting the game. No Matter how "Friendly" a Game is, Sooner or later there WILL be a disagreement on the rules. To keep it friendly, Have the rules established before the game starts.

Kev, One of the most inportant things is to set a Good Blind Structure to keep the tournament moving. The format I use for tournaments that I host with less than a $20 Buy-in: Typically Start Everyone with $1250 in chips 10 Green $25 Chips, 5 Black $100 and 1 Orange $500. The Blinds go up every 15 Minutes. The Blind Schedule is as Follows: 25-50 50-100 75-150 100-200 150-300 200-400 250-500 300-600 400-800 500-1000 600-1200 800-1600 1000-2000 With this format a 10 person table with a Fulltime dealer will take approxamately 3 hours to play out. For a Side game: If you want a Limit Game Try $.50-$1 with $.25 & $.50 Blinds. For a NL Cash Game, Set the max Buy-in at $50 and Play with $.25-$.50 Blinds. Any other questions, Please let me know. The problem is not what they are doing but how they are doing it! It is their inherent dishonesty. They Lie, Cheat and Steal. How does an honest business compete with that? This is not just about Marketing. Every DZ should Market themselves aggressively as possible, But the problem comes in when they intentionally Deceive people about where they are and who they are. Then they start stealing from other skydivers in the process. Those that believe that this is just about DZ Politics are truly deceiving themselves. This is about one company that has continued to do anything and everything imaginable to make more money without any ethics at all. Some people are comfortable supporting a business like that, the rest of us are not. Those that are comfortable with SKYRIDES business practices may want to take a moment to reevaluate their own personal values. Is it really OK to Lie Cheat and Steal to get more business? IS that something you really want to be part of? Eventually, the law will catch up to them. In the mean time all we can do is try to educate everyone we can about what they are doing.

Yea, I had to jump through similar hoops to get a few songs I PAID FOR off Napster onto my Ipod mini. It was a real pain in the a$$. All the WMA to MP3 converters would not convert a Rights Managed File so basically I was screwed if iTunes didn’t have the song I was looking for. If I Downloaded it off Napster, It had to burned to a CD and then Ripped as an MP3 to get it play on my iPod. (Atleast that is the only way I could figure out to get it to work) The Biggest problem with iTunes and Napster is that the selection SUCKS!! unless you are into top 40 crap. I miss the old Napster where you could find almost anything.

I even found a T-shirt that I have to get before then. Yep. Something tells me I may want to invest in a really confortable couch before that weekend.

OK, so last week (after I realized that this Boogie was on the same weekend as my WUFFO Girlfriends Birthday), I brilliantly informed her that I was taking her to Marcos Island for a weekend getaway for her Birthday. Sorry that you are somehow offended that people are planning a Holiday Dinner at a Dropzone and may even play cards afterwards. And you know, I will bet there will be some alcohol consumed after the sun goes down as well. Isnt that is what happens at Most DZ`s after the sun goes down? It is an Event Thread. The people going are planning the EVENT. Lets face it, The Weather sucks this time of year. How many jumps do you really want to do when it most likely will be sub zero at altitude? Or if the weather is bad, Should people just sit at home? NO. Come on out get in a few jumps, swap gifts and enjoy a Potluck dinner. The group I beleive you are complaining about are people who enjoy each others company. A Close knit group of friends that come from Dropzones across 3 States. Skydiving is what brought everyone together and keeps us (If I may be so bold as to include myself in that group (Even tough they never offered me a Number ) together. The Jumping is a Given. What other things everyone is going to do when they get together, well that is just another topic of conversation. Is it just about Parting? I dont think so. Is is more about Parting than Skydiving? NO. Its about doing what you love most with people you enjoy being around and that share the same passion for life. Come on up some weekend. Its only a 4 Hour drive. I promise you some high quality skydives during the day and a Great Party at Night.
