  1. I may have missed it in other folks post (I did a lot of reading late at night ) so forgive if I am coving something already covered, but as everyone knows Crossroads part 1 and part 2 (the last two shows for season 3) has the song All Along the Watchtower by Bob Dylan, the song played a big part of these two shows. The reason I bring this up is that in this song that the start of the song is the end of the story and the end of the song is the start of the story, and over and over it has been started that “This has all happened and it will all happen again” So with these two things in mind maybe we are getting a preview in to season four or maybe some how this time everything is happening backwards. Also I need to say that in the commentary for the mini-series that it was said that a lot of this Battelstar was inspired be Edward James Olmos in his role in Blade Runner. The movie Blade Runner was based on Philip K. Dick’s Book Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. In the end of the book you are left wondering if Richard Deckard is an Android or not. I am betting that when Battlestar ends we are going to be left not really knowing who is a toaster and who is human. After going back and reviewing seasons one and two and rereading Philip K. Dicks book I found lot of things that cross over and a lot more parallels. I am wondering if any one has any ideas on this. I think that in the sprit of the show that somehow, and I have know idea how it would come out. That Tigh, Tyrol, Anders, and Tory are not human or cylon, but some kind of mix between the two that happened long before humans were humans and man created cylons in this chapter of the story. Keeping in mind that it has been said that “This has happened before and it will happen again” That the final five may be something left behind from the last telling of the story so both sides get a little closer to getting everything right or perfection. From what I know (and that is very little) of the Hindu Religion that you will leave clues from one life to the next so you can make each life a little bit better and get closer to perfection. Then you can factor in the whole All Along the Watchtower thing that in fact that this story is really running backwards, as much as a twist as that could be it would be hard write and pull off. I think that they are going to take the cheap trick and bringing Lampkin back as the 5th of the final five. Just me I could and I hope that I am wrong on this one. Also the creators of BSG can if done right could do for sci/fi T. V. what Robert A. Heinlein did for sci/fi novels in season 4. If season 4 makes us not only enjoy the show but stop and look back at ourselves and wonder What if. To me that is great sci/fi Also, maybe the whole Tigh, Tyrol, Anders, and Tory thing and the interviews with the creators of the show for the rest of this year could be just one great big red herring just to keep intrest in the show. The shows creators have a habbit of saying one thing in interviews, not really lieing but wording things so that people hear what the pretty much want to hear and not really pay mind to what is really being said. 2. My experience was very little pain for about 3 days, after 24 hours total bed rest. I had to pack like a lot of gauze in my shorts to keep the boys from between my legs. In fact I had mine done on a Wednesday and on Saturday I was helping my Father-in-law load hay and feed horses without any problems or pain. 4. WHen I carry I carry a 3 inch BBL Ruger Vaquiro in .45 Long Colt. .380 is o.k. if you know what you are doing, but I like to have a bullet that have a little more bite to it. One thing to remember is carring is that it is not the size of the weapon but in fact it is the placement of the bullet. The smaller the weapon the better shot under stress you have to be. 9. Yes, everyone at Aggieland did thier best to make my fisrt jump enjoyable. I have to give Mark Futch many props for the way he took care of me on the jump. I like the fact he was very blunt (not in a bad way) in that he told what I needed to know when I needed to know it. I am very sorry that I did not interact with the camrea more, 16 years as a corrections officer one sees video camreas every day and one gets to the point that they are there and you act normal as possable when around them The video was great and Justin my hat is off to you for making a very very good video even if with me being a very bad subject to film. The staff at Aggieland are some of nicest people I have meet, they excepted me as an outsider/new to the sport If any was to ask me were to do their first jump in my area I would tell them Aggieland. It is very hard to put in to words how well I was treated and look forward to my next jump. Remember that expectant life span is an average, and most people are below average --Garrison Keillor
  10. Thats alright I know people the really thought the world was going to end on Jan 1, 00 so everything comes and goes. If the world ends not alot I can do about it I understand it was a joke
  11. Just few quotes By Ayn Rand that I feel help point out how this subject is not a new problem but one that has been around for years. Not just as far as money goes but in many other things that all come back to this subject. Money is only a tool. It will take you wherever you wish, but it will not replace you as the driver. -- Ayn Rand Reason is not automatic. Those who deny it cannot be conquered by it. Do not count on them. Leave them alone. -- Ayn Rand I swear, by my life and my love of it, that I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine. --Ayn Rand The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. -- Ayn Rand Remember that expectant life span is an average, and most people are below average --Garrison Keillor

  14. My tax return should be back on Feb 9th 07 and my wife MoodySkydiver will help me get the stuff set up at Skydive Aggieland in days to come. I am hoping to get the video, pictures and everything that says Hay world I really did this. Moodyskydiver (my wife) has even gotten me a log book. I was wondering how hard it is to do a working tandem for ones first jump. I am also looking at doing the AFP classes if possable. So it should happen very soon. 15. I will agree with you %100 on any one getting killed needlessly Remember that expectant life span is an average, and most people are below average --Garrison Keillor
  16. It is sloppy do to the fact that people tend to want to help fine out why someone the know gets hurt or killed. So if you are going to tamper with the parachute it is not going to take the police long to figure things out. Keeping in mind this is from the view point of corrections officer and we tend to think of each other as family and when someone hurts the family you do what have to fix the problem. Keeping in mind I have heard of officers not helping police taking out revenge on thier own. I was thinking that skydivers think of each other as family as well. Just my opion. Remember that expectant life span is an average, and most people are below average --Garrison Keillor
  17. From everything that I have been told a parachute wants to open both the main and the reserve. So if most people know this fact and would clue in the police when they go to asking question about it. To me seems to be some one wanting to get caught by the police. So if I am wrong about the pharachute wanting to open please correct me but it seems to be a very sloppy way to kill someone. 18. Tiny Dancer by Elton John For very personal reasons that I will not say. Also 1000 Kisses From the RENT Soundtrack. That song makes me feel very happy and luck to be married to MoodySkydiver. Remember that expectant life span is an average, and most people are below average --Garrison Keillor

  20. True Believers As I am getting ready for my very first jump, I was at work the other day watching a work squad strip paint and while the logic of the Great State of Texas giving convicted felons sharp paint scrapers and chains (please do not ask) to strip paint with escapes me I did have the following thing pop in to my tiny little brain. It is from the view point of someone making their first jump and is also paying homage to Robert Frost and his poem The Road Not Taken. I thought I would share it and maybe some of you will like it and some of you will hate it but here it goes: First Step By Loco Cerveza Today, I take my first step, Down a road less traveled. A road not found in any city, Nor, in a yellow wood, But only in the sky above. I am no longer an earth bound creature, Escaping gravities prison, If only for a moment in time. Many have looked, Some have wondered, But only a few have dared, To travel the road, Linking heaven to earth. 23. The town I was raised in Copperas Cove Texas has given nothing to the world, but the Town I call my Hometown Huntsville Texas is were we take great pride in executing all of those “bad people” for killing, raping and anything the people of Harris county (Houston) do not like. Oh, some dude name Sam Houston also lived here.
  24. O.K. true believers I have read the post and at random read a lot of the replies, I did this do to being about 6 pages of replies. I have to disagree from what Scoop posted. As a correctional officer I have seen people come in from county lock looking like death warmed over from a lot of the drugs in his post, The only exception being POT. Most of the long term Potheads have college degrees and it was not the pot that got them locked up. It was something stupid that had nothing to do with drugs. I personally feel that all of that stuff should be made legal and sold at Wal-Mart, K-Mart, and even Target. I can see all of you thinking that I have lost all sense of reality or I am trying to be funny, but I am not trying to be funny. Here is how I see it, if you make something a taboo people want it more. For example, lets use the good old Prohibition. If I remember correctly lots of people died needlessly the Mob made tons of money. Yes, I know if you were to make all of those drugs legal at first every body would feel the need to try it and drug addiction would rise, but in the long run it would be as everyday as ol’booze is now. You will always have people that abuse drugs legal or not the same goes with anything on the planet, Diet pills, Coffee, Dr. Pepper or what have you. Pick anything in the world and you can find some that will or has abused it. If you look at countries that have made drugs legal along with prostitution look at the rate of STD, and Drug addiction. I had to throw in the prostitution just to see how many were still reading this post. Sorry if I offended any one. But to get back on topic I would hate to lose a friend or loved one to a drug overdose, but I would hate to lose a friend or loved one to cancer, car accident, drive by shooting. Yes, by the way I have lost very close friends and loved ones killed in all of those manners and it does hurt, but we are humans and we make choices and have to live with them and sometimes the people left behind have to live with them, but that is life on this blue green marble. You can’t count on anyone to nor should you trust any one to makes those choices for you. If it the government making those choices run and hide because they will %100 of the time make the wrong choice.
