My older brother's suicide note was far too painful to read, let alone keep. Seeing the original date scratched out and then re-written, etc. His son still has it, along with his ashes, and hasn't been able to let go or move on. Next month is the anniversary too.

But that doesn't take into account how her Viper was also restored in pristine condition. Starbuck's return was more than just being resurrected. If they tie in something from the original show, it could be the "Hand of God" group manipulating all of them and they have a specific role for Starbuck to fulfill. There just doesn't seem to be enough time left!

I've been a fan since the mini-series aired. As much as I've enjoyed it, it's definitely time to wrap things up.

Do you have access to another computer to try and hook your drive up to? That would eliminate the OS as the problem if it doesn't work properly on another computer (as long as it isn't Vista). From your attached picture, the drive looks like it lost the partition and you probably have lost everything on it. This may have been caused by Vista, but it could also be bad hardware...or you may have unplugged the drive before the OS was done with it and hosed it yourself. Good luck.

You're exactly right about people considering the consequences of their actions...but in this case, I guess I am far more impressed by her toughness/spirit then then the 'shock' of her broken leg of what was "best" regarding the race. Long term, she'll make a 100% recovery from her injury and have a great story and something to be proud of for the rest of her life. From her interview, I think she would've felt far worse giving up on herself and her team then the broken leg. On one hand, it's just a race...and just a broken leg...

I'm SURE that's what she was doing it for...the FAME. I guess the lesson here is just to quit when things end up being harder than expected... Has this place always been so negative?!

Hi Zagor. I think you did the right thing. You didn't feel right about jumping and you called the dive. There's a difference between (rational) fear and anxiety compared to the, "I've got a bad feeling about this..." Sounds like you felt rushed, had some gear fear, doubted your ability to handle an emergency...NOT jumping was the 100% right thing to do in those circumstances. Don't feel bad about riding the plane down - but don't give up either! Good luck.

The Colt's run defense, while doing well early in the playoffs, will collapse and allow at least 150 yards by the 4th quarter...keeping the Colt's O off the field. Bears' D > Peyton (how the heck did A. Samuel shut down Marvin so well?!) And yet another UF QB (this year at least), "Good" Rex, will handle an overrated, stat happy QB from UT.* - AJ * I actually want the Colts and Peyton to win... but I'll deny it if asked directly. ;)

I wanted to jump for a long, long time but couldn't convince any of my friends to go. Back in 1996, I drove out to Lake Wales by myself and did my first and only tandem. Immediately after landing, I went back to manifest and signed up for the next AFF course. It took me 10 years to get my A license due to life getting in the way but I never forgot or gave up on skydiving. Just got my pre-second rig last month too.
