  1. All 3 of my personal rigs and my brother's 2 rigs all have Chernis Pilot Chutes on them, some pull out (I modded myself, but maybe Larry will make you one if you want it) and some throw out. That's 2 Infinity's, 2 Javelins, and 1 Mirage, ranging from 70 sq ft to 150 sq ft. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  2. So, I've heard tell of this in lots of places. I've got a little over 1500-1700 Sigma Tandems, (3k total). Folks/riggers are taking the metal rings out and putting Cordura loops in place of them? Easier replaced by a rigger, less wear on the disk/cover, etc. Does anyone feel like shooting me some pics or feedback on this mod? Maybe some schematics? Thanks. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  3. So I just landed a brand new in the box Singer 20U109 with table, motor, and everything for 500$. So did I get a deal, or did I get a deal...or was this not a good deal? Lol. Lemme know. (Retail 1199$) I know retail they can say this is what it costs, but really for the machine, I'm thinking from what I've read, this is a perfect loft addition. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  4. I am the rigger for my DZ, and made sure everybody knew about this prior too, and for the Sigma's we have the have Cypres II's instead of Vigil's, everyone checked (and regardless of whether they did or not, I walked to each rig between jumps and did it anyway). It's 1 button press, what's it hurt. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  5. I'm one of the instructors there, it's a beautiful place to jump. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  6. / 10 / 0... Not happy. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  7. I'm disappointed...How did a boobie thread get hijacked into a geek thread...hehehe, what are skydivers coming to these days, tsk tsk. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  8. Fucking awesome!! Isn't this the response that EVERYONE should have...lol. It's like brewing your own beer...when you first start out, it tastes like shit to everyone else, but since you made it and you're proud, you lie to yourself. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  9. I made mine myself. I jump a straight pin and when I needed a new PC, I (like an above poster) cut it off and made it using 550 and the king cobra knots. It's almost a choker and the closing pin actually closes the necklace itself. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  10. My mom typically tries to throw guilt trips on me, or she used to. I told her she used up all my guilt as a kid growing up, so I'm stoic to her attempts. The biggest fight we had was when she (like most mom's) said I'm the only mom she'll ever have...which is true, but she's fixed and I'm an only child...so I told her likewise. She balled, we didn't talk for a while, now things are ok...aside from the attempted guilt trips she pushes. Just be brutally blunt once (which you did), and stay standing your ground, she'll realize she can't hound you for-ev-er. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!

    My hip X-ray

When I used to build computers, there was a guy on Ebay who'd have his wife hold up RAM, motherboards, processors, etc. in front of her boobs, covering the nipples (very nice boob job, he/she's showin off), but that's where I bought my parts, lol. I liked "shopping". ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  12. Skymama stalked me one time at Deland, I've met DD, Amazon, and...that's bout it, no other "regular" posters. Haven't been on the forums, this is my welcome back, lol!!! ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  13. There's no need for a long reply. This isn't fair! As mentioned before Jack was one of the good guys!! ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  14. Yup, that's it. Thank you! ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  15. My opinion on the trick doesn't matter as the subject of the post...but a few years ago there was a video I saw (is it the trick common, iuno) but I was talking to a buddy of mine and mentioned I had seen it. The video is of a guy coming in on final after turning in for a swoop...and then "x" amount of feet above the ground he flips (toggle whip?) completely over his canopy and lands uneventfully. I've already tried the searches to no avail...does anyone have video, know where I can see it, or anything of the sorts? ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!

  17. Hey thanks for the heads up Jerry. Yeah, I'm hoping to have mine before the jumping season...tis the season for a reason, lol. Thanks for the PM's guys. I've got some good leads to follow up with. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!

  20. Feel free to fill me in. I'm certainly not closing the options, these are just the ones I've been personally recommended. North Carolina's my part of the world. Recommend away for decent locations...NV, AZ, CA...are not decent locations, lol. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  21. Thanks!! Didn't Start Skydiving move from Ohio to....? ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  22. Ok, finally, FINALLY found Dave's number...only to be told he runs an annual course. Bummer for me, but I guess a wee bit of closure, I found 'em. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
  23. I'm looking at taking a riggers course and based on location and "local" hear-say, it's down to the three listed in the poll. I've got Chutingstar's information, am waiting on Jerry MacDonald's info from another source, and cannot find Dewolf's contact anywhere (his website isn't working). The Poll, nor this thread, is not for bashing. Rather either recommending OR stating which one you went to. Can anyone put me in contact w/ Dewolf and/or MacDonald? P.S. - I've done searches and found Dewolf's dead site, Chuting star is easy to find, and nothing on MacDonald. The searches that pop up for dewolf are "Is anyone taking the course, blah blah blah" and are all old, but no info is actually posted. Thanks in advanced. ...it's not the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until it's gone...it's the fact that you don't appreciate what you have until someone appreciates it for you!
