  1. Regarding freefly suits, as that is what I have the most experience with: The suit will affect your flying, but mostly in terms of how the drag changes your speed (if your flying is static and you fly at one speed - otherwise it doesn't matter so much until you try to fly extremes of fast and slow). Paying 2-5x more does not mean you will get 2-5x better suit. There is no suit that will make you magically able to fly well. Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!"
  2. Yes. Absolutely nuts. Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!"
  3. I got a Kurupee suit just over a year ago. Had the fast fit, single layer supplex, spandex in the crotch and the back. I've made a few mods over time, but it's held up really well (many many hours of tunnel time plus a couple hundred jumps and seams still holding up, spandex in good shape. It is my understanding that they've changed the design to a (more expensive) lined version, with option for zipper flap for tunnel use. My Kurupee suit is my favorite, they got the fit spot on, which a popular other manufacturer could not do even after 3 returns for adjustment. It also has a lot of flexibility for a tight suit, which I like. I see little point in dropping a huge sum on a jumpsuit. Personally, I change style preference before tearing my stuff completely up, so making it totally bombproof is overkill unless your landings really suck. Supplex is a nylon fiber that wears better than cotton after a lot of wind exposure. Collar is personal preference, also leg cuffs. Mine are velcro, but I like either. Remember, you can always take in the drag on the arms and legs, but there's no making them bigger. Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? 6. I think management is very much the same, just the underlings who've been shuffled. No big deal. Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!"
  7. That's a disturbing story. Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!"
  8. Hey thanks for the clicky! I've been looking for this video...
  9. Why do you want nylon? It's hot. Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!"
  10. Get a tab pocket sewn into the wingsuit for a hook knife? Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!"

  12. I'd like some recommendations for freeflying recovery position... is going to your back the preferred method (to get out of a spinning/sidesliding/SNAFU maneuver - induced by trying new types of sitfly)? Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!"
  13. I am not advising the OP to freefly on RW jumps, I merely stated that it has been effective on the few occasions in which I have chosen to use one. I will not accept criticism of my flying ability without both having you see me fly, and witnessing your (not insubstantial, I'm sure) skills first. That being said, I agree that there are few circumstances in which this should be considered as an option. Small formation work from a Cessna going to 10.5 is one of them for me - I simply do not have enough time to swoop down to the formation before the dive is over, and I'd rather not waste everyone's time if the exit has been botched (which was the source of the problem -and no, not because of me). I am not as gravitationally inclined as most of my jump partners for RW, I compensate accordingly, and it helps the formation get built. If anybody who knows me and has ever jumped with me feels that I am unsafe in the air with them, I would hope that they'd feel comfortable enough to have a conversation with me about their concerns. As far as advice to become unstable in order to lose altitude ("cork a bit"), it is not comparable to a controlled change in rate of descent. I will submit that my best solution to the problem is to set up the exit myself, and that preventing the problem is more efficient than having to fix it. 14. I find that an appropriately timed (and spaced from the formation) stand is quite effective. Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!"

  18. You do realize that most of this is dependent on your packing and canopy piloting skills, right? Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!"
  19. Ron Paul IS the libertarian. But the masses tend to be drawn to the candidate that promises (no mention of a viable plan that will make it happen... last time I checked, a statement of need is still unable to produce goods/services from thin air...) the most extensive handouts. Damned freeloaders. Oh, and has anyone else seen the revolting Hillary commercial with the skydiver 'out of control, spinning!' Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? 21. I love my mamba. Solid design, well worth paying more than for other full face helmets to get the flip up visor. Why don't you just play 'chicken' on the railroad tracks? It would be a cheaper way to toy with death, I'm sure. CWR #2 - "You SAID collision!"
