  1. Hmm..You ever heard of 'The wrong side of the tracks'? How many 'enlightened' parents don't want their kids hanging around with the poor rednecks down, around the corner? I believe we see this same kind of judgmental crap going on right here in SC. Hicks, rednecks, bumpkins, Neandrethals....same story, different chapter. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not at all. I'm pointing out the hypocracy of people who choose to embrace every manner of foolishness, just to throw a wrench in the works, wouldn't let their kids hang out with the poor, roughhewn rednecks, down the block, because they are afraid it might contaminate the more finely tuned sensibilities of their precious children.

  3. That's so gay. Does that mean that we'll have a whole new chapter to Jerry Springer?
  4. That requirement would extend for 5 generations for their entire family. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She believes in visiting the sins of the father even unto the fourth or fifth generation.
  5. I'd say that there are many who spat in the faces of returning soldiers from Vietnam, still hold the same deep contempt for soldiers today. Sadly, many of them are in position of govt. authority.
  6. The disasters in Asia are just on a mind-boggling scale, acts of God or not. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, like the concept of God, you just can't wrap your head around it.
  7. Who knows. Maybe he's been to a few states that few of us have ever visited.
  8. No. He just created the Earth and turned it over to some bitch called Mother Nature. Occasionally, she goes on a tear and rips things apart.
  9. Please explain to me, then, the purpose of the military, and why we even need them.
  10. They say that mastrubation is good for the prostate, but what would I know.
  11. It must be put together with Gorilla Glue.

Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The teacher is the authority in the classroom, and when he or she says stand up, that's exactly what you do. You don't get to sit on your ass and contemplate the deeper meaning of standing up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So if there's a fire drill, you have no problem with half of the kids doing as they please, instead of lining up outside so a proper rollcall can be taken?
  13. Shouldn't we call Ripley's Believe it or Not, or something?

Let's just let the inmates run the asylum. If they don't want to do homework, let's go ahead and give them an A. If they don't want to suit up for PE because they are worried someone might see their fat ass, and have a laugh, that's ok. We really don't want the little pricks to have to experience anything close to reality. The teacher is the authority in the classroom, and when he or she says stand up, that's exactly what you do. You don't get to sit on your ass and contemplate the deeper meaning of standing up.
  15. The whole "But, it will take ten years before we see anything" attitude > is crap. It is defeatist and un-American. It is the equivalent of refusing > to plant an orchard because it'll be ten years before you see any real > production out of it. So we should punish ourselves on a daily basis, waiting for some alternative energy source to emerge from its infancy stage? Again, we should be punching holes in the Earth whereever the possiblility of fuel exists because we have advanced that technology to a high level. We can already see a huge glitch in the bio-fuel answer, but sadly, instead of wadding that piece of paper up, and throwing it in the wastebasket, we'll milk it until it collapses on itself. I'm sure the technology of going to the Moon has had ripple effects over the years, but the bottom line is that it really didn't matter, other than bragging rights.
  16. In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have a huge smile on my face right now. The way you talk is just so uniquely incredible, I have no doubt that your intelligence is "off the chart" and I am in no way patronizing you. Its just that I have read many of your posts and replys and sometimes I just start feeling so stupid, I cant explain it...and I absolutely love your forum name!!! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- She could get a job doing Phone sex for geeks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How do you say, "Oh, God, Oh, God" in technospeak?
  17. >3) Produce more oil domestically, like from ANWR and offshore. We ought to be poking holes everywhere that we know fuel exists, and where we think it exists. When we find it then we can cap the wells and use as needed. The whole "But, it will take ten years before we see anything" attitude is crap. It is defeatist and un-American. It is the equivalent of refusing to plant an orchard because it'll be ten years before you see any real production out of it. In the mean time, your neighbor, who doesn't like you very much, is selling you fruit at three times its value.
  18. Yeah it does. The atheist gets in a huff when the person says God bless you.

  20. You know that people have been saying that since the Bible was first published, right? So, I see that you agree there is truth in the Bible. I believe you just paraphrased the great King Solomon. There is nothing new under the sun.
  21. In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using your mighty critical thinking skills, and the evolutionary theory, is there life in other solar systems? I don't want to hear, "I don't know." No waffling. What does your critical thinking tell you. It's either yes or no. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think there is, yes. Given the sheer size of the universe and number of planets out there the possiblility is overwhelming. I couldn't say for absolute definite though because as yet we haven't seen it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If the answer is yes, then the possibility of something so superior to our physical and intellectual being is very possible. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now, we are getting somewhere. Is it possible that this intellegence is such that we mere mortals do not have the ability to observe or measure it by our crude scientific methods?
  22. You're right. Every morning, I have to have someone pull me out of bed and wipe the drool off my chin. Sometimes, when I go to pour my coffee, it's nothing but cold water, because I forget to grind the coffee or turn on the heat. Using your mighty critical thinking skills, and the evolutionary theory, is there life in other solar systems? I don't want to hear, "I don't know." No waffling. What does your critical thinking tell you. It's either yes or no. If the answer is yes, then the possibility of something so superior to our physical and intellectual being is very possible. If you say no, then you are no different than the creationists that you despise.
  23. He has heard the complaints of the GW nuts and about how humans are overpopulating the Earth. Al Gore said the discussion is over so God decided to help him out.
