Now for those of you that threatened me or called me a disgrace to BASE... I have achieved what I set out to achieve.... debate over something that everyone was thinking about.... my methods do make me look like a complete "See you next tuesday" and I know they do.... but all I want is people to discuss the issues that I feel need to be discussed. I am sorry I offended ALOT of you, I am sorry you felt I was wrong.... I actually have the best intentions, my methods on the other hand are a bit fucked up.... I am shit at writing a decent post, the only way I know what to do is to throw shit at a fan.... All I wanted in the end was debate..... edit to add: Thanks to all the people that emailed / PMd/ SMSd me saying "100% agree with you" - There were more of those than have actually bad mouthed me..... that kinda speaks loudly dont you think?

...and this leads me personally to believe that maybe Mr A. N. Other with similar experience (other than "the" BASE jumps made) would not have been allowed to jump... I am really interested in what is said about this incident from the people involved. Can people invloved with Brians training and choice to let him jump really be unmarred by the fact of who he was? You can post that this is not so, but I strongly feel that maybe this helped blind you to decent choices... Yes BASE is a personal choice, BASE is about choosing to step off the edge..... but everyone keeps telling me that BD is not really BASE in its pure form.... either BD is BASE or its not... dont pick and choose what it is.. If BD is BASE in choice, then dont refuse anyone to jump, if its not, then stop arguing about freedom...

Yes you should do something if you find someone with this gear at the exit point. I heard of someone having their wingsuit being taken off them at the ITW due to their complete lack of experience on WS and BASE, to me that is certainly within the line of acceptable. Its not about being a killjoy, its not about policing people, its about stopping people not kill themselves.
