As a current (and temporary) Texas resident, I can say that your logic will not change the mindset of these people so intent on reminding themselves regularly of where they live. Hanging the Texas flag on the front of your house in Texas is about like wearing a shirt to the DZ every day that says "I SKYDIVE." As a Texan (who has lived outside Texas for the last 10 years and in fact has lived more than half my life outside Texas), I can't say why we feel the way we do. Illogicial?...yes. Silly?...perhaps. Real?...definitely. It's strange, but I have no family in Texas and not many friends there anymore either, but if my career didn't have me someplace else I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Don't try to explain that it has a "cutter" or "small explosive charge" or you will be arrested. If they question you about it simply say it is a saftey device to automatically deploy the reserve. Nah. I've got one of my own to play with whenever I want. And I prefer real looking guns like a 1911's to a plastic looking toy. (besides... glocks come in TUPPERWARE!! That's not a gun case!) And... yup ... there is just something NICE about Sir Sean's voice. I also prefer my two Kimber 1911's to my Glock, but any girl with a gun is hot in my book, even if its a water gun.
