  1. As a matter of fact we are. We are looking for another sale person. Mirage Systems is looking to hire the right person as a sales person/company rep. Qualities that we are looking for. * Experience in Sale or customer service a must. * More than 500 jumps or have been skydiving for more than 5 years * Outgoing personality. * Ability to relocate to DeLand, FL. * Rigging experience a plus Please send your resumes to [email protected]
  2. I won! I WON!! I WON A FREE MIRAGE!!! Oh wait I work there I get a free one anyway
  3. I was thinking more of a purple suade rig with gold hardware. It would be pimpolicous
  4. NOPE Send us your resume. We are in serious need for help. If you get a job here we can send you to exotic 182 Cessna "boogies" where they have a record 25 jumpers. Without a doubt, we are heading to Rantoul, the Ranch for the 4th of July, and many other boogies that are just know getting organized.
  5. A free rig and a CASE of Ramen noodles and all the free beer that you can talk the DZO into.
  6. I know that there are "old" 1998 Mirage G3 containers out there from Space Center FX with over 3000 jumps on them. The second and third owner took much better care of the rigs than did FX I have also seen several older Vectors that were Airspeed team rigs. These rigs are notorious for having several hundred jumps. Structurally they are very sound. Your gear will last only as long as you maintain it. If it is worn fix it.
  7. You can actually get Nickle hardware in different colors. I have seen samples of RED, Royal blue, Gold, and shiny black done with a nickle finish. It isn't a question of re certify but the cost of stocking the hardware. You have to order a large quantity. If there were enough requests then it would be worth it for the manufacturers to stock the colors hardware.
  8. We are still accepting applications. There are several boogies that we are planning to send a Mirage Rep. to but we don't have a person to send. "Work" by attending boogies
  9. The position that we are looking for is base out of DeLand, FL. As for working in the industry, Texas really doesn't have much in parachute systems manufacturing. There are several dropzone and rigging lofts that may need some help.
  10. Mirage Systems, like many other container manufacturer try to accommodate main canopy down sizing. Most jumper would like the ideal world of only purchasing one container EVER. This, however, is not possible. We have all seen the jumper with the container with the "soft" main pack job and loose closing loop. They are not only a danger to themselves, but everyone else on the load. Any feedback on this topic is appreciated.
  11. Not yet, Katherines job is only an internship. Thank goodness Bill Clinton doesn't work for Boeing. Mirage Systems is looking for someone to go to the more of the boogies and help with the sales, answering questions, etc.

  14. The Chuck wagon!!!!! It used to be owned by Trey Johnson in DeLand. Beautiful airplane
  15. If your container has velcro riser covers, then it is a G1 container. There are very few G2 containers out there. Mirage Systems only produced them for 4 months. As long as you maintain the velcro you should not have any problems sit flying. You must be careful of freeflying in head down position with the velcro riser covers. Velcro as it wears will not stay closed at the higher speeds.
  16. What is the Serial number. If my memory is correct, a Mirage with a Serial Number before 0900 is either a Mirage G1 or Mirage G2. The Mirage G2 is a good freefly container. It is slightly wider but thinner container compared to the Mirage G3. The secondary riser cover was optional until January 99, so that Mirage G2 may or may not have them. If you have any questions do not hesitate contacting the Mirage technical department [email protected]
  17. If ANYONE has a concern about a Mirage Systems product's feature or design please feel free to contact their technical and/or design department. They are the best source for Mirage information. Mirage Technical department [email protected] (386)740-9222 ask for the technical department.
  18. Quote One question about Mirage, There is a huge question on the integrity of the company.[ Many of the previous statements by Rdutch are misleading. Whether this was intentional or not, they may cause jumpers to be concerned. If ANYONE has a concern about a Mirage Systems product's feature or design please feel free to contact their technical and/or design department. They are the best source for Mirage information. Mirage Technical department [email protected] (386)740-9222 ask for the technical department.
  19. If the Mirage M4 container was built in 1999 then it is a Mirage G3. Many people confuse the fact that some containers have the sidewall logo and other do not with whether or not it is a G3. If you have any questions on the sizing of the container don't hesitate contacting Mirage directly. They can get you all the original information and most likely and repair information also. email [email protected]

Yes, Mine has a PD 126 and a Crossfire 119. It is a MT.
  21. Does anyone have Reza Fatemi's from the either Perris or Elsinore contact info? I am trying to contact him. Please PM me.
  22. Crazy, Mirage Systems builds a container exactly for what you want to jump. The container is the M1Z. The reserve is designed for a 150 size reserve with a standard construction 107-97 main. They can also shorten almost every main container by .5 inches to tighten the main container for even smaller mains. They actually have a couple in stock if you want to look that them on their web site. They look like a normal container. Not a mutant. If you have any questions on the container contact them. [email protected]
  23. The current expected ship date is 3-4 weeks for a G3 and 5-6 weeks for a G4. You should add about 2 weeks if you are thinking about ordering Tie Dye. BTW A fully loaded G4 is really only about $150 different than the G3. The G4 comes with an upgraded back pad that is discounted while a deluxe back pad is an additional option ($105) on the G3. Either choice is a good one. It is a little bit about personal preference. If you have any questions do not hesitate contacting us at Mirage Systems
  24. Mirage Systems is aware of this issue. Capwell, the manufacturer of the reserve ripcord and pin has the assembly and are inspecting it. If someone has a question in reference to this issue contact [email protected]
