I was going to sit around the house all weekend and pout because I wasn't able to go to Spaceland Skydive in Houston, because of the bad rainy weather. So I was logged on here Dropzone.com reading different forums and ran across where freaksis was going to be at Skydive Dallas. I thought.. hmmmm maybe I can get some sunshine and maybe jump some anyways. It's only 4 or 5 hours north of me and the weather was going to be good. So about 5pm Friday night I decided "What the hell I'm going" I packed up and grab the "whuffo gf" and hit the highway! We arrived at the DZ about 1am set up camp and crashed! Got up very early, noticed I was the only tent. Got a bit nervous being at a new DZ and still being very new to the sport and stuff. Anyways I went in and met up with Bill {tandem instructor}. Very nice a friendly guy. He pointed out the coffee and gave me a tour of the place. We talked for about an hour and the rest of the staff started showing up. Everyone I met was very nice and seemed very glad to meet me. I was impressed with the facilities and the regular jumpers and staff. Later that morning freaksis called and said she was about 30 miles out. [ She was suposed to meet me at the DZ Friday night] So I was alittle happier then I was going to "kinda" know someone else.

I think I might have you topped pyke. Got up about 6:30ish got some coffee layed back down to smoke a cig and sip coffee while watching the news hoping against hope that the rain would go away. Took a shower, dressed, drove to work. Loged on to dz.com and the chat room, opened my email. Decided I was going to re-write all the invoice templates and make new macros for the auto text. Mind you this was only a thought. Sat here reading posts and did some chatting, worked on my website. Got lunch read some mag I can't remember, something about computers. Thought again about doing something, thought against it. Sitting here now wondering wtf am I going to do this weekend because the weather blows. Going home at 3pm and probably crawl into bed and wish for Tuesday so I can come back and do this all over again. My New Website with 24hr Chat

My whole weekend is in the toilet!! Got rain forcast through the whole damn thing. Sometimes living in Houston sucks. All you wonderful people who get to make jumps this weekend, remember us that are grounded for one reason or another! I will be at the DZ just in case we might be able to get a load in. If it's not raining in Houston. Friday - Get off work around 3pm haul butt home change clothes pack the truck with the tent and BEER and head for the DZ. Hopefully get one jump in before they shut it down. Drink till I fall over. Sat - Wake up help cook breakfast, eat and start doing my AFP jumps until I can't do anymore. DAMMIT I AM GRADUATING THIS WEEKEND!! Drink beer till I fall over again. Watch the night jump too. Sun - Wake up think about breakfast probably hurl once or twice. Get dressed and help set up the pond for the swoop contest. Try to make jumps to graduate. Drink not so much today.. Mon - Probably sit around and lick my wounds and wish I would've graduated from the AFP Course and drive home in the afternoon. This is all dependant on the weather.. Wish me luck guys & gals!!!
