  1. I just installed Primedius, so well see how that works. I have to wait 10 mintues until I access my account. It seems pretty sophisticated, so it looks like it will work. B. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  2. Well, that worked great for allowing me to view the profile, but unfortunately, they want money for sites that have log-in capabilities. Any others? B. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  3. hah...yeah, but I don't have a "normal" job persay. I get paid to be ready for action when duty calls...so there is alot of downtime. We are allowed to surf the web when all chores are done. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  4. So, I want to gain access to a site that has been blocked by my work. Its not a porn site or anything, just my myspace site that I would like to work on. I have seen at one time, someone posted a proxy site that would redirect you to the site you previously not view. Anyone know what I am talking about here? Thanks. 5. Apoli, I am sure you are right on this. I have not attended one of these camps as of yet, so I was misunderstood. I guess if the camp has some kind of goal for the end, such as a complex dive, I would venture to say that it would be possible to not have the opportunity to participate if your skills are not up to par. As for the camp, I will be attending the camp in Crosskeys at the end of the month that is being put on by Sebastian 5 and CK1. I am looking forward to it with great anticipation. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  6. Hey, get your Dytter yet? B. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  7. I differs from manufactuer to manufacturer. For example, you might not get the better deal from the manufactuer that turns out the highest # of rigs each year. And this isn't to say that you are going to get your best deal from the little guy either, as he as a bottom line to just stay afloat. I would say, choose the rig that you really like and would like to represent as a "sponsor". Now you are more than likely to get a good offer if you have plans within the skydiving sport, and not making it just a every so often affair. What I mean, is that if you plan on putting together a 4 way RW, or 4 way VRW for that matter and competing in the future, let them know! Tell them how much you jump and what your goals are. It also helps to have one small sponsorship to start as well. It doesn't have to be a skydiving gear sponsor, maybe just the corporation or business that you work for for example. This helps get the ball rolling. It also helps to have someone in the sport that has connections, or can talk the talk. Not that you would not have to put forth some effort in the future for the people, you need to help them sell their gear! Peddle the container whenever the opportunity exists. If someone says thier rig fits like crap, hand them your and show them how damn comfortable it is! That is what I do, and I have converted 2-3 people so far. Its not easy, but if you want continued deals, or "sponsorships" it's neccesary. Now to ask you, what are you goals. What container are you considering? Don't forget your main and reserves. If you buy your reserves from the manufactuer or the mains, you may recieve another deal there. IE: PD, or Aerodyne, or Precision. Based on what your goals are, I might be able to assist you in some way. But you gotta be serious, not just looking for a handout. Let me know. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  8. I'd go, but I think I have had all the Peter I can stand for a season. No seriously dude, that was a good time. I hope you guys make it up here every season at least. I'll have to keep my goggles on one of those coiled leashes though. You guys going to make it to Jim's camp? B. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  9. Politics buddy, politics. After the owner (the then owner of Skydive Tecumseh) failed to pay on the lease of the Otter at that DZ, the owner came and planned on picking it up. There was an attempt to work it out, as long as a new DZO was to take responsibilty for everything and not the DZO of Tecumseh. There was then another power shift and betrayl within that group and it got all fucked up again. So to make a long story short.....the guy that started it, didn't pay. The people to take it over couldn't get along and squandered the last opportunity for SoBe to exist. I had the opportunity to jump there for a week, and I have to say that it was the coolest DZ I have ever been to. Amazing talent, awesome vibe, beautiful scenery, spaceball jumps anytime you wanted (over the lake) and the best damn Otter pilot I have ever flown with. If I lived in Fl., I would have invested in keeping it going as well. Oh well.... ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  10. Hey Ian. I was jumping with Wyat just last week, and both him and his fiance were jumping the Neos. How he described it was that it was similar to a x-braced (more of a Z brace if I remember correctly), but the big difference was that the stabilizers were incorporated into the bracing design. He stated that the design was even flatter across the top than the current crossbraces. Watching his fiance land (she was flying something like a 57sq), I observed that the canopy collapsed very abruptly at the end of the shutdown, similar to the Stilleto. But perhaps that was due to the size of canopy she was jumping, that thing was a napkin. B. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  11. Bummer about the no gear landing.....bummer that I left early and missed it! I also heard that there was a rockin BBQ and homemade "fireworks" later Sat. night. A big thanks to the Farrington family for the hospitality. Too bad so many of us had to get out butts home. I'd figure I would post the results here as well: ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  12. Well, where the hell were you last Friday? ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  13. Just last weekend, myself and a buddy of mine went down to Skydive Oregon to participate in setting the Oregon State HD record. We had 9 flyers to use, so that is what the unofficial record is now! We started with a 4 way base, added a stinger at each grip on the base and the ninth docked on one of the stingers. Not too big or demanding, but for the rainy Pacific Northwest, we did pretty damn good in just 3 attempts, slot specific. We plan on making bigger attempts maybe later this summer. Thanks to Wyat Drews for organizing this. Now all I want to do is big ways, and go to a camp of some kind. It seems that all the camps down in Perris have cuts to them. The last thing I want to do is do to a camp and get cut. Anyone know of a good camp to attend? ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  14. Word. KA power received. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  15. Hey, just wanted to let everyone know that this weekend went off without a hitch. The weather was awesome all weekend long. The boys arrived midday on Friday and did one on one and organized jumps until dark. We had a video screen put up on one of the hangers and watched the jumps from the day and some of Guano's stuff over the years. A potluck and BBQ to boot. Saturday was insane. The Grand Caravan didn't shut down all day long. Chris was responsible for one on one's all day long, while Peter was doing the organizing. The day ended with sweet track jump that filled the plane, and a swoop and chug at the end, (Which I won, no matter what Karen says). Again, there was a great BBQ and the big screen showing the days jumps and more of Guano's sick ass, unnatural freeflying. They also gave us a glimpse into the new 4-way VRW team they have built with Elsinore Eclipse. Amazing stuff. Sunday the Caravan didn't stop again...all day long. That's 2 days folks in a row folks! Non-stop. I thought I was going to have to hang IV bags from the ceiling cargo straps to give these boys fluids and nutrients! They just didn't stop. Peter did the one on one jumps while Chris did the organizing. I shot outside still all day long and got some amazing shots of everyone. I plan on putting up some of the photo's at the DZ. The day finished off with a cross country that was just sweet. Not too cold and absolutely beautiful. A little HP crew was had with everyone making it back safe to show off some phat freestyle swoops. A massively big shout out to Karen and Bryan at Seattle Skydivers for making this happen and to Skydive Snohomish. Without these guys, this wouldn't have happened. Let me be the first to call for a yearly event with Guano, or at least the same caliber of gentlemen. Although, I think one would be hard pressed to find guys that will work as hard as they did at giving a full service organizing effort. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  16. Alright Sunny, got any deals for me? I might have a place to stay, but not sure yet. I will try to get my arrival time to be on Weds. night as well. Will you be staying at the Marriot in Longmont? If so, I can help out with the car rental. Lemme know. B. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  17. That speed course must be a bitch with a 150. On the other hand, you should be able to smoke them boys in the accuracy. My Xfire shuts down like no other. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  18. Yeah buddy, were in the same boat. I was on the Xfire before the KA. You should really give it some consideration at a competition canopy for the CPC. It dives like a banshee and the riser pressure is even lighter than the Xfire. Now once you are out of the CPC, perhaps you will NEED a Velo to stay up, but for now......the Katana will do just fine. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  19. Katie, I will be down at Kapowsin on that day, and I promise you I will make it happen. I'm sure that the Farringtons knew Nate well. I hope to meet you someday. B. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  20. You wuss.....I jumped my KA 107 last comp. and took it. Man up bruthu..... ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  21. Ok, so I guess I was thinking of the JLX, and not the JVX. I have heard of it being done with special sliders and such, but this canopy isn't what were talking about here... My question still stands unaswered.....at what wingload and or canopy size would it be beneficial for having no stabilizers? is this a viable option for canopies such as the highest performing 9-cells, such as the Katana? Kolla or Jim S. ? ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  22. So, in regards to removing the stabilizers on conventional 9-cells, at what size would the canopy see some benefit?
  23. Hah, I'd like to see a PLF at 60MPH! Hey, how is that Lotus treating you? See you in Co. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  24. The best part about it, was I was still at 4k watching him enter then spit out the side of the course. I looked at Todd and said "I think Stu just beatered" But I knew he was ok, as I didn't see everyone running towards him. ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
  25. Yeah, super eh? Just watch me chow the rest of the events now..... All I need is a flag in my end cell..... ------------------------------ Controlled and Deliberate.....
