Call me morbid, but about 5 minutes after somebody posted this here, I was on gear-store.com ordering it. Well, it showed today, and I just wasted my money. This ain't a bad movie, but it sure as hell ain't what the ad would leave me to believe. There's a few shots of unstable students, a couple of botched landings, a few mals, and 40 minutes of skydives...just normal, everyday, skydives. The shit you'd see on any other skydive movie. Not that I don't like watching that stuff, but that's not the stuff that I thought I was getting when I ordered a movie based on this advertisement. Anyways, just a heads up in case you thought this sounds as good as I thought it did. I got nuthin

I'm wondering the tradition for pieing at your DZ. I did my 200th on Saturday, and didn't hear mention of pie. And I thought it was only for 100, 500, and 1000. I called a buddy of mine after I got home, and he asked if I got pied for 200? According to him it's every century. Is this tradition anywhere, or was he looking for an excuse to throw pie? Good news and bad news. Good news: After I spent almost a month on the ground, Edmonton Skydive Center is open this weekend. SCWEEET!!!! Bad news: Can't get ahold of anybody from the home dz who wants to go...Or anybody that wants to go who has a car, which means the 3am greyhound then hitchhike to ESC. I checked out that goggle mount a while ago and it looks kinda sketchy to me. Don't know if I'd trust it. Although, I do know a few people who had dytters/pro-tracs fall out of their mounts, and L&B replaced them without hassle. A pouch sewn into the V sounds like a pretty good idea though. I got nuthin

So I won a pro-dytter as a door prize at our year end party. I jump a skateboard pro-tec, with no shell over the ears. However, the chin-strap kinda Vs off from either side of the ear, and I'm gonna try to mount it accross that V. The position over the ear is good, my only concern is how the hell to get the thing on there. Anybody got some experience in the area here??? I got nuthin

First, figure out your ideal wingloading: Wl = (#j x St)/IQ. Where: Wl = wingloading #j = # of skydives under belt St = size of testicles. (Max diameter in centimeters) And IQ being the IQ of the subject. No that we know our ideal Wing-loading, it's a simple formula to determine your ideal canopy size.
