  1. Its not stealing... I bought the batteries .... not my fault some things run out of batteries faster then others You could always try mains powered devices and my sister recommends diesel power.
  2. It might not be a requirement but Students and above can pack if they have the right qualifications or are supervised. Not sure about the helmet rule, it just is?
  3. Curiosity has the better of me and I have to ask. Doug, what does YOUR instructor think?
  4. According to PD they recommend for a PD190 :- Student N/R Novice 123.5 lbs max Intermediate 133lbs max Advanced 190lbs max Looking at the chart a PD260 would be required allowing for gear etc. Interesting I thought?

Are you sure the USPA medicals are always this long and thorough?
  6. Have had no real problems using it. Very easy to use and setup. Have only used it as an Audible so far. Not sure I would trust the reading of speed. The readings tend to fluctuate wildly. Had HUGE problems upgrading the device and getting the IR to work. You have to set everything to US which is a pain when I ain't in the USA.
  7. Copy this >Ww< and paste them in when you need.
  8. In the hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where their family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and sombre. "I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news," he said as he surveyed the worried faces. "The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. It's an experimental procedure, very risky but it is the only hope. Insurance will cover the procedure, but you will have to pay for the brain yourselves." The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, "Well, how much does a brain cost?" The doctor quickly responded, "$5,000 for a male brain, and $200 for a female brain." The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile, avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked. A man unable to control his curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, "Why is the male brain so much more?" The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and explained to the entire group, "It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to mark down the price of the female brains, because they've actually been used."

Without camping a hire car is a must. The campsite is being discussed at the moment though. Hotels are cheap but a few miles away. Everyone meets in the bar afterwards to watch the days footage and throw people into the pool. Canteen serves food all day. Fairly large selection of gear to hire. Very friendly and helpful staff. I really enjoyed my week there.
  10. Only had 50 Jumps and was looking for somewhere to progress as I don't have a local DZ. So enticed by the Porter, promises of parties and friendly people I gave it a go. Well a big thank you to everyone at Black Knights who helped me last week. To Mo for all the home cooking and gallons of cofee. To Dave for helping me with my packing and trips to the pub afterwards. To Jeff for getting me jumping with others and all the helpfull advise. To everyone else who helped make it a very helpfull week for me, Cheers.
