Altimeters are devices that are used to display the altitude of a skydiver, and are an essential part of the jump. There are a few different types of altimeters available, with one of the biggest discussions being centered around digital vs analogue, which in the end comes down to personal preference. Analogue altimeters have historically been preferred, primarily due to the more affordable pricing. Digital altimeters on the other hand are slightly more expensive, but also come with their own set of pros and cons. Audible altimeters are typically placed inside the helmet, and will give you an audible alert at a particular altitude.
