    Age?

Was 21 when I did my first jump ever (a tandem). Was 23 when I started jumping for real (AFF). Currently 24. Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive

  9. Gee, never knew that. Thanks a million Jarno! Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive
  10. I suppose that's ok (within boundaries of course). My main concern is that the beer isn't confiscated. That would be too much a waste!
  11. You're quite right there, Clay. I may find it hard to believe, but I do realize that it's possible. Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive

  15. I plan on going back to Perris as soon as I can afford (a 6,000 mile plane trip doesn't come cheap you know). You ever go there? On a slightly more serious note, it it hard (if at all possible) to bring foreign beer into the U.S.? Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive
  16. Thanks for enlighting me (and please, you don't need the LART here). Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive
  17. Wow, that's quite a comprehensive piece of work! Way to go, Bill Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive

  19. The fate of most students... Watching others jump can be very scary and intimidating at first. I know Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive
  20. Which reminds me... Last fall I too had my jumpsuit, altimeter and rig on, with my goggles hanging around my neck and my helmet hanging from my cheststrap. I was just lying back, waiting for the boarding call when some lady walked up to me and started "So, he's jumping on his own, isn't he?" Me: "Yep" She (pointing at my alti) "Is that an altimeter?" Me: "Yes it is" (trying to keep it brief) She: "So that thing tells you when to pull the string, eh?" Me: "Sort of, yes" I didn't bother to tell her we stopped pulling strings (not in that sense, anyway) long ago. Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive

Wasn't it a little over 20 or something? Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive
  22. Now, I know what PEBKAC means and I know the ID ten T thingy too, but WTF is DEU? Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive
  23. Wheeee! I asked a good question! Have I won something? More seriously though: I find the bigger rollercoasters enjoyable but not particularly exciting. Maybe it's just because I know nothing bad is supposed to happen, who knows. The smaller rollercoasters I just find plain pukkin' boring. And as for bungee jumping: never tried, but sure want to. Anybody know of a good place to jump in or near Holland? Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive

Har, har, har Would a picture of (for example) Jim Slaton swooping his pants afire look like an ice cream wafer? Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive
  25. Any idea who the TM in question was? Can't imagine any of the current TMs at Perris to make such a mistake. Alphons http://www.liacs.nl/~avwerven/skydive
