True, but if you want to chance some of that perception, like most say they want, then you have to look at things from the other side sometimes. She may have well been in her lawful right and within policy to do what she did. I am not disputing that. doesn't mean it was necessarily the smartest solution to the problem

It was. What is very, very, very sad is that these snipers are being outcast by their fellow soldiers because they worked so close with Americans.....what a fucked up world we live in.

I know all my security guys can....and do on almost a daily basis....we have arrested kids from 12 to adults well into their 80s...some with weapons, some without and all stages of compliance.....

Both of you guys are coming from the argument from the law enforcement side of the coin. I deal with this daily with my security department and my on site police office. Right now the police officers working on my site are most angry because their television got removed. I doubt you have had to work on the PR side of this equation. This looks terrible on the police department. They turned a trespassing call into something very negative, even if they were justified. what blows my mind is that cops in one sentence will condone this stuff and then in the same sentence go on and say how they can't understand why people have such negative opinions about them. This officer would ahve done her department much more good if she had called for backup, the chances would have been better that it would get resolved without negative publicity.
