  6. "War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." - John Stuart Mill "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" Have Rig will travel ...
  7. I was wondering if anyone owns or has jumped a Hornet 190? It feels like I am getting hit by a train every time I have opened it (3 times). Is there something that I can do to slow it down? I have to make a decision as to keep it or send it back and not buy it. Have Rig will travel ...

  10. Just a new jumper wondering what the difference between the colapsible pilot chute and the non is. This may sound like a stupid question but if you forget to "cock" it, it will not catch air and you will end up with a mal so why put yourself in that place? What is the benifit to having a colapsible one then? Have Rig will travel ...
  11. I am pleased to report that Temple, Texas got favorable weather this weekend for the first time in almost 2 months (since the first jump class) so the AFF is complete and the first solo jump was the sunset load Sunday. There is only one bad thing that i can see from all of this ... I am going to die broke if this keeps up. Good trade off i think. Have Rig will travel ...

  13. "how can they do that shit, just sit down there and have normal lives????" That has to be one of the best quotes I have ever heard. Have Rig will travel ...
  14. Thats great ... Once I am to the point that I can go other places I am certain that I will be out in your neck of the woods jumping quite a bit. The girlfriend lives out there and she will not let me get away with not coming up, she might just have to spend some time at the DZ there. Have Rig will travel ...
  15. QuoteAre you in TX? What DZ did you do your course at? I am taking the course out of Skydive Temple. Dave are you in College station? I think that we are forcasted decent weekend but the way things are going I am worried. It is strange that the weekdays (read WORKdays) are great and the weekends are junk. Have Rig will travel ...
  16. Just wanted to say whats up to everyone here and report on mother natures cruel joke that she is currently playing on me. Just took the level 1 AFF course two weeks ago in hopes of getting in the air. I was very anxious about the first jump ... for the first 2 rainy weekends. Now going on weekend 3 with no jumps I have gone over the materal so many times in my head I think that the nurvousness is gone. Pray for a clear weekend so I can do this. Thanks Have Rig will travel ...
