Yeah, several BASE rig manufacturers offer courses. http://www.crmojo.com/ Check these guys out...This company is the cat's ass. They have a course in the states for any of you intersted. There is also a list of prerequisites for the course... "I'll jump anything!"

I suppose burning one is kind of like a sacrificial gift to the benevolent skygods. I can usually get over it with several heinekens, a couple of trips to the ice louge, & whatnot... "I'll jump anything!"

One of our McNasty's trains thoroughbread horses...so if we land off in his pasture, we can spook his horses and cause them to bolt into a fence or something causing serious injury...So when the owner of the horse finds out that McNasty had to put him down because of a skydiver...McNasty gets a ration of sh*t from the owner...possible lawsuit, blah, blah, blah. The guy has a valid arguement, but its not like people intentionally want to land in his pasture...it is an emergency, its either his pasture or trees. I will take the pasture anytime, thanks... Recommendation: If you are going to land in a field with animals (especially a lone bull), try to keep as far away as possible from them. For your safety & theirs. "I'll jump anything!"

sorry about that...my fault...you get 3 feet of snow and your mind starts to wander a bit. Off to warmer climates I go!!! "I'll jump anything!"

I have heard of one guy, taking AFF to learn to BASE. He graduated and as far as I know hasnt jumped out of a plane since. I dont know if that is true or not, but I think you would be really hard pressed to find someone to teach you the ropes of BASE without having the qualifications to BASE without a relative degree of safety. Freaksis, are you feeling alright this morning??? "I'll jump anything!"

I havent had any issues with my sabre, in fact I just downsized and got another one. I havent been whacked, yet. (knock on wood) Is the canopy collapsing on you or are you getting end cell closure??? "I'll jump anything!"

Its in the February 2001 issue. "I'll jump anything!"

I have seen them used for training purposes (non-jumping stuff just to show students how a canopy is put together) or they make a great roof for a Tiki Bar...unfortunately they dont hold up well under flames. We cremate them so they can go to canopy heaven. "I'll jump anything!"

Go to Base Logic and read. There are also a lot of links on there that are really good. From what I have read, it is anywhere from 150 to 200 jumps minimum. Canopy control is the biggest reason for that, plus you really have to know how & why a canopy flies and how to use it to save your life. "I'll jump anything!"

I heard from a rigger that your canopy would be more solid due to the moisture. More particles...more stability is the theory I guess. "I'll jump anything!"

I dont know about the PD tests but the major reason that they currently limit reserve repacks to 3 months is because of the old reserves. Silk had a higher degredation rate. Today with modern reserves, there isnt the need to pull these things out as often. That is why the USPA is looking to make a reserve repack 120 days. They are supposed to announce that rather soon I think. "I'll jump anything!"

Yeah, you should see some of the whuffos & tandems' reaction when people call me that at the DZ. Its pretty funny actually...As far as that little mishap, I find it really odd. It was called the "Jump Below the Wind" boogie wasn't it??? Where's the irony in that?!?!?! I would really be interested to hear the full story. "I'll jump anything!"

Thanks!!! "I'll jump anything!"

actually I hate yogurt, I am just exceptionally bored at work. 1 Day left until Moab! I do quite a bit of meditation though. That seems to work quite nicely, especially with skydiving. "I'll jump anything!"

When you speak to him ask him how his trip to Borneo went...That must have been pretty scary. "I'll jump anything!"

Hey, I like yogurt! "I'll jump anything!"

I thought so... Man, I am going to Hell. "I'll jump anything!"

Just as long as they dont have an age recommendation of 7 and under on it!!! Did I just go to low??? I think I did. Sorry!!! "I'll jump anything!"
-
my sentiments exactly... "I'll jump anything!"

I usually cock it right when I set the canopy down and then again before I put the D-bag in the container (carefully making sure that there isnt any fabric coming out of the grommet-thats how friction holes get burnt into the canopy.) But you are right...the P/C can become uncocked when you are messing around with the main. "I'll jump anything!"

How's about Dropzone.com Thongs & G-Strings? "I'll jump anything!"
