  1. I work in the skydiving business and I have a question. When did boogies, meets, and "fun" contests, get to the point of having to have money or expensive prizes as the reward for a fun day with your friends? vent on I'm sorry, but I remember the good ol days when we could go to our local drop zone for a fun meet, whether it be for swooping, scrambles, 4-way, etc. and compete and win nothing but maybe a beer or bragging rights and have a ball doing it with all our friends. It seems now a days that if there is no cash prizes or free gifts donated by vendors, it's a big deal. I don't get it. Gear stores, manufacturers, etc are being asked to donate something for these things to the point that soon they will be so nickled and dimed to death that they won't be able to afford to give at all. rant off I can understand periodically being asked to contribute for a worthy cause but not for "everyone whom has ever gone in" boogie, "we are making up an excuse to have a boogie" boogie, "every charity needs us" boogie, etc. The rate we are going, every weekend at every drop zone will be asking for donations all year round. Sorry this is so long, but I'd like to hear everyone's opion on this trend that is evolving into something huge and out of control. Thanks for hearing me out. If the stains are still there, we us a product called Peckerin. I'm not sure about the spelling though. Good luck. 8. If I may add my .02 worth with this question, I work for a helmet manufacturer (skydiving) and because we don't MASS PRODUCE our helmets, all are hand made and the market for these helmets is so small, we can't cut corners and can't get the good materials discounts that someone making thousands of helmets a year might get. Thus, we can't make them as cheaply as the " general sports" manufacturers can. Also, ours are made in the good ol US of A and we all know labor isn't cheap compared to overseas. Regarding haveing them tested, does everyone want to jump a larger profile helmet? If we were to conform to the criteria of safety rateings all of you are wanting, it would be as large as a motorcycyle helmet. I don't know if this helps in your understanding of the process but that's our story. 23. Ooh remember the sound that doll made? ahh cha cha cha cha! ahh cha cha cha cha! My brother used to terrorize me by making me watch that movie and threatening me with my own dolls... We went to Universal Studios and they had the very doll in a little room in a glass case. I bet I'll have nightmares about it tonight now. Ah well, it's better than what I have been dreaming about. I remeber that too. It scared the shit out of me. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't it a twilight zone movie? If I remember right (which is hard to do now a days the actress that played "Bewitches" mother was in it. I forgot her name.
