  1. I don't know if there is any "official" packing classes, but if you're close to Perris or Elsinore, I'm sure there are people around to help you out. I'll be at Elsinore a week from Sat. and would be glad to help in-between load organizing. Or, I'll be out at Perris this Sat. and could help you in the afternoon. I'm not a rigger but if any help will do, then.... Linda SKYDIVING GAVE ME A REASON TO LIVE....
  2. We are better friends for you anyway. SKYDIVING GAVE ME A REASON TO LIVE....

  4. Everyone is giving great advise on this subject, and since it's been 10 years for me since I've been down that path, they're better able to tell you the up-to-date req's. I'm posting what worked for me on my level 4 when I had to repeat it. I was taking it too seriously and got very pissed off at myself, started cussing at myself and everything (during freefall). When I got on the ground, my instructor saw my greif and simply stated "I thought we were supposed to be having fun up there"! Well, ever since then I have made it a mandatory requirement to make sure to SMILE
  5. I'm proud to say a Javlin J-1...Triathlon 150....PD 143r This is the second rig I've owned in 10 years
  6. I think the "dress" idea would look pretty funny through the leg straps. Go with the white jumpsuit idea. I've seen quite a few "lords of the church" skydive to marry people. Just ask around and put in some posts about it and I'll bet you'll find one, or do it on the ground and then go up for the fin-ally.
  7. I tried to get extra insurance at Ontario, Ca airport for my rig and as soon as they found out it was parachute equiptment, they wouldn't let me get insurance. They let me check it and didn't give me any problems there but thank god they didn't hurt it. Can they refuse to sell extra ins. if they feel like it? My friend wore theirs on board and no one knew it was a rig, they just thought it was a "full" back pack.LOL She even got a compliment from a lady, that it was a neat backpack and where did she get it. You shouldn't have much of a problem. Linda SKYDIVING GAVE ME A REASON TO LIVE....
  8. zenny. I feel exactly the same way except (sad face) I've never been to Cayman, and want to go realll bad. LUCKY!!! SKYDIVING GAVE ME A REASON TO LIVE....
  9. when I "reply" to a post, it doesn't add to the "replys" column. Am I doing something out of order? I've noticed that some have replys, without any reply numbers in the column. Please explain and help me understand. I know it's not your job to teach me about computers, but make it short and sweet and I'll make do. Thanks, and I love what you've established here. 10. i will most likely have to hit elsinore first to drop the boyfriend off for work, Who is your boyfriend? I'm just wondering since Elsinore has been my "home" for quite some years. SKYDIVING GAVE ME A REASON TO LIVE....
  11. Hey skybytch, how do I get the smiley faces "in" my post. ( like at the end of sentences and such. I know you're a seasoned computer guru and know I can trust your answer. Also, how do ya get certain coments that you are replying to selected out of the meat of the post? Ya, I'm a computer woffo :-(
  12. I am new to dz.com as far as getting to know you. I organize at Elsinore and would love to meet ya'll at Perris this weekend but I can only be there on Sunday. Can I get a responce to see how many will be there for "that" day? Also, will you be meeting at the same place as Sat? I'm just now getting used to writing and responding to this group so you're just geting to know me too. You sound like a FUN bunch to get to know. Hopefully, talk to ya soon, and see you as well.
  13. "It's raining men, hallelujia, it's raining men...." That's the best part of this sport, lots of men. (eye candy) congrats on your persaveriance.
  14. Congrats. Just go and have some fun. Then, down the road (money wise) try to get some video on your jumps. It sure helps to critique yourself and show others to help your body position and such. Might be less costly than SDU. Enjoy the view, and remember.....keep smiling, it helps.
  15. How about New Zealand? I understand they have quite a few DZ's there. Good for scuba, too.
  16. lOOKS LIKE SOME REGENERATED VIRGINS HERE. (MALE & FEMALE)

  18. Help...I think I'm seasoned enough not to say the F (first) or the N (never) word but I'm lost. I'm trying out the pub but I'm sorry to say I need someone to show me around. Yes, I am a girl and that's why I'm smart enough to ask (like directions) for help. Am I in the right place (in "the pub")? How do I start a subject etc.etc.etc. Yea, I do skydive better than I computerize. If you love your fellow skydiving brothers and sisters, you'll help. The FAQ's didn't help much.
