  11. In 2003, before I started jumping, I suffered two herniated discs in the C5-6 range. Within a week of the onset of the symptoms I started to suffer weakness in my left arm and loss of 90% of strength in my tricep on that arm. There was also a great deal of nerve pain involved. My forearm felt like it was going to explode at times. I went to a very conservative neurosurgeon who immediatley scheduled me for surgery. I had a posterior approach discetomy. No fusion. I have a little residual pain and stiffness when jumping camera now and when i get slapped with a brisk opening, but for the most part no complications. Surgeon told me 50% or more of the cases of bulging disk etc... heal themselves with antiimflamatories, therapy etc... 12. I had a Rhodesian Ridgeback female while I was in law school. Feel free to PM me if you have questions about their behavior/needs. They are great dogs, very loyal and are extremely intellegent requiring a good amount of stimulus and training. They are also somewhat territorial and leary of strangers - something to think about depending on where you live. I have always crate trained my dogs. We have a lab and a Border Collie now. We both work and have also used doggy-daycare. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."

    Brown Recluse

I got bitten by one two summers ago while dove hunting in east Texas. It created a horrible cyst which developed into a horrible infection. I was treated with antibiotics for a week and had to have the bite site cute out. It left a melon ball sized divot in the skin behind my knee that looks like a bruise that never goes away. I would be very careful with those little creatures. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."

Apparently I was picked up for violating a restraining order and also an unrelated armed robberty. Note to self: Stay away from pissed-ff ex-girlfriends after knocking over a 7-11. Mirage G4

I received my G4 MOS about three weeks ago. It is absolutely perfect. Fits me like a glove right out of the box. The fit and finish was exceptional. This was my first "new" rig. It was exactly as ordered and build like a bombshelter. Ward was very helpful in picking the right container and continued that level of service after the sale when I decided on a different pilot chute and hacky. They simply exchanged the units and rushed it to me. The customer support was always very attentive and professional. The product and support are top-notch.

  21. How do you remove an attached tick? Do not use alcohol, nail polish, hot matches, petroleum jelly, or other methods to remove ticks. These methods may actually traumatize ticks causing them to regurgitate their gut contents. Essentially, you don't want to do anything to make the tick expel its gut contents into the individual or animal--this greatly increases the chance for infective organisms to be transmitted. You also don't want to crush the tick after removal and get the contents of a potentially infected tick on your hands. The recommended way to remove an attached tick: * Wear gloves and use a tweezers. Caution is advised because most diseases that ticks carry can also be transmitted to people. * Grab the body of the tick with the tweezers and firmly pull the tick straight out, DO NOT TWIST OR JERK. Do not puncture the body of the tick. * If it looks like some of the tick did not come completely out (the tick's mouthpart has a barb on it to make removal more difficult), use an alcohol sterilized needle to remove the remaining pieces. * Cleanse wound with soap and water, and then alcohol. * Save the tick in rubbing alcohol (the alcohol quickly kills the tick) for future identification and testing**, if necessary. Date the bottle. Drowning a tick in water does not work--they can even survive flushing down the toilet. * Mark the date on the calendar; this could be useful information if the dog starts showing symptoms consistent with tick disease. 22. You've got a good heart. Take stock in that. Many people would have turned their back on a stray. You didn't. You should be complimented. Trust me, I married Ellie May Clammpet. We have 5 cats and 2 dogs. None of which we intended to start out owning. They enrich your life. Things happen for a reason. If he's found tomorrow, you have a good story. If not, you have a good friend. Good luck. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
