  1. I am type A+++ and have a over-organized garage. I even have a refrig in there for beer etc.. and a tv mounted above my work bench for times when I'm working on my camera helmet, projects etc.. But like was said above, its friggin hot in there (we live in SW Louisiana) and definitely not a place I want to "hang out" for any length of time. 4. Don't you know this forum knows nothing of tolerance? LMAO "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  5. Isn't Voltaire a little high-brow for this forum? LOL "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  6. We love ours. We've had it now for 3 years and wouldn't go back. Its really saved us lately since my wife is in her third trimester and having a hard time getting comfortable in bed. Also - she gets up and down all night long and i never feel her move because the foam doesn't transfer motion from one side to the other. We use the foam Tempur-Pedic pillows as well. We have friends that bought theirs from Ebay and saved a bunch of money. They bought the "Sensor-Pedic" - I can tell no difference and they paid less than half of what we did. 7. Here's a little backfly...... "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  8. My friends and I got to jump it as well. We had a good time. The exit separation was extended to 10-15 seconds between groups due to the slow air/ground speed. It was definitely an experience and we were glad we did it. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  9. Just hit 10 years of practice. Currently with a great small defense firm litigating products liability, employment and commercial matters. My partners think I'm insane for skydiving. But I did get one of the associates to agree to come do a tandem this year at Skyfest. Licensed in Oklahoma, Texas and Louisiana. I will NEVER take another damn bar exam. In Louisiana you don't have to take the multi-state portion but I had to un-learn everything I knew about common law property, contracts etc... and learn it from a civil (french) code. It has been interesting to say the least. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  10. Who is it that I need to seek out about the SCR's? There are 3 or 4 of us from my DZ going that weekend that want to get that award. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  11. At the end of the sample clips on the VASST site says it will be available June 15. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  12. This is exactly what I have been looking for. I wanted a system I could use to easily switch the orientation of my XTI on top of my BatRak. There is quite a bit of realeastate on top of my BatRak so this is perfect. I can have my D-Box mounted to one side and my XTI set up next to it for either horizontal or vertical mounting. Thanks for the heads up on this company. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  13. We have been using a U206 at our dz for the last cpl of months. Me and the other vidiots have been hanging off the trailing edge of the access door (toward the tail) with our right feet in the door - left leg out and dragging in the wind. It seems to work well enough. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  14. A testicle stuck under a leg strap at deployment would be worse I would imagine...LOL "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  15. Battlefield 2 and Splinter Cell "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  16. How about "This time we promise it won't suck nearly as bad!!!" "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  17. No work for us here. In addition to being President's Day holiday, its also the day before Mardi Gras!!!!! Now back to my beer its almost 10:00 AM!!!!! "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  18. Also - I have to give ultimate credits to my dad. He is the driving force behind my hair brain equipment ideas. He was well before his time back in the 60's when they modified their own gear. He still is...I benefit from his ingenuity today. The design of this cut-away and my belly mount camera system from before belong to him. Blue Skies Dad - you keep me Rock'n!!!! 1-INR Forever!!!! "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  19. Thanks...btw your "BatRak" was my reference point. I blew your pics up when I worked the final position of my system. They were my "blueprint". Thanks for the help and kudos!!!! "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  20. The word I hear used so damn much at work is not even a word...."irregardless". "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  21. Here is a cutaway I installed on my BatRak a while back. It is simply a two-point cutaway modeled after Bonehead's single-point cutaway modification. It releases the right side chincup attachment point and the ratchet attachment point in the rear of the helmet. Ideally this makes it a great deal easier to "de-ass" the rig in the event of a snag etc... To make this system, I took some high-tensile coated wire leader and stuffed it in some paracord housing and crimped and heat-shrunk the ends. The paracord loop gives me something to grab onto easily even with gloves on and the orientation/direction of the pull is equal between the two release points. The release mechanism on the attachment points is the standard cutaway system seen previously in this discussion using the clevis pin, spring and cotter pin arrangement. As you see from the pics the loop is located behind and below my right ear on my neck area. When the helmet is actually on my head the loop is not quite as long because it tucks up slightly inside the helmet padding. I have tested this rig under a load (my exit weight hanging from it in the packing area) and it released fine. I will definitely take that over no cutaway at all!! Let’s hope I never have to actually use it for real!!! "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  22. I agree. My wife went to school with her in Lubbock, TX. She said she was a class-less, loud mouth problem-child then too!!! haha. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  23. I've raised three pups over the years. They are extremely intelligent, loyal and strong-willed dogs. I would love to have another to add to our pack. Have to love a dog they used to hunt lions in Africa. "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  24. My wife's former employer's basic bonus philosophy is "congratulations...you're still going to be employed come Jan 1....now get back to work." "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
  25. No - its walking distance. Just be careful of where you walk as it gets dark. I would suggest taxi's at night if you don't know where you are going. The quarter can be a dangerous place for visitors. Have fun!!! "I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant."
