  1. Holy freeking crap I haven't heard such a load of Bull Shit in a long time!!! Having been to Afghanistan and Iraq, I can tell you they don't have a health care system. The "US Paid for Health Care" in both counties is a bunch of military field Medics that can from time to time make it to various villages to pass out Motrin and Pepto-bismal. If this is the direction this country really wants to take health care, we are all fucked. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 2. It's not offensive, but the real question is if it is appropriate. How is this picture going to relate to the presentation? Having been to Iraq and Afghanistan I don't think it does any one any good to shy away from the realities of war. There are some things people need to see. It's just a good idea to make sure that the pictures, conversation, and presentation all apply. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 3. Pfft, they were obviously in on it. the government paid off all 10,000 workers at the WTC to not notice the MAJOR work that would be required to cut through beams and install explosives, the FDNY to pretend to die heroically saving victims, millions of residents of downtown manhatten to lie about seeing planes hit...etc. DON'T BE A SHEEPLE! ONLY PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET KNOW THE TRUTH!11 IN FACT THE SCIENTISTS THAT BACK THIS UP AREN'T EVEN RECOGNIZED BY OTHER MAINSTREAM SCIENTISTS! tl;dr: "Truthers" are nutjobs and will never be convinced. No matter how ludicrous their claims are to rational educated people. P.S. Dear 'truthers' thermite is a horribly inefficient way to bring down a building. Theres a reason they dont use it in commercial or military demolition of buildings. You got it all wrong. the government didn't pay off anyone. They shipped them all off to a russian goulag to make sure they couldn't talk. And it wasn't thermite, it was "Super exploding Thermite" that ninjas painted on the steel beams while no one was looking "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 4. Yes, that road does lead to crazy town. Since I don't want to go to crazy town, lets find out about our czars to make sure they are not leading us there. Despite what any one says, sitting in for the president at meetings and having the ear of the president is power. I used to play a game in elementary school where someone would make up a phrase and pass it around the room and then we would see what it was by the time it got back to you. If by other reasons you mean not giving the best training and access to the best weapons to someone who may abuse them, then yes. I'm pretty sure that Obama does not have any radical tattoos on him. I really don't know what he stands for at all still. The only thing he has done so far is make speeches and give all of his authority to congress and the czars..., oh...., and vacation with his family in some of the most lovely places. Oh yea, and blame Bush "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  5. I don't think the constitution doesn't need to be changed. I think the term "Inferior Officers" covers it. Past presidents may have gotten away with it but I don't think that makes it right. One or two Czars to help out might escape scrutiny, but 37? The president has pretty much out sourced the entire Executive branch to people we know nothing about. I for one would like to know. 6. Did he? Or . . . was he helping to organize a protest because he didn't think the guy got a fair trial? How do you define "support"? Maybe you're not aware of it, but a lot of people (in particular minorities) haven't gotten fair trials. It doesn't mean they aren't even guilty, but the reason some people take cases and organize protests might not have anything to do whatsoever with the original crime. Yes, in the US, even the guilty are supposed to get fair trials. Depending on the circumstance. Yeah, actually it might be. Lets try a different approach on the importance of Vesting these people- A former Grand Dragon for the KKK wants to get a job in the Department of Defense as the "Military Czar". We can all agree that he is probably someone that we don't want to get ahold of military secrets. KKK For Conservatives- racist=bad For Liberals- White=bad Even though he may have the qualifications, background, know how, and has never been in trouble with the law, do you really want to give him this position? He may be able to do the job, but what deals does he have going on the side? This is the problem I have with the hole "Czar" thing. How do I know Von Jones isn't going to start pumping pollutants into "rich white neighborhoods" for revenge? Current revelations about him suggest that he may be just that radical. How about the Bailout Czar? Are you sure he isn't funneling money someplace it shouldn't go? Because of my job in the military I have to be enrolled in what they call the "Personal Reliability Program". Because of the information I deal with I don't have to break the law to get kicked out of my job. I just have to demonstrate behavior could "look bad". If I even hint that I may use the knowledge that was given to me for something other than the intended use, I am in what they call "deep do-do". I have seen people trying to become navy SEAL's kicked out of BUD's for having Arian Nation tatoo's on their backs, I expect the same from my president, even if it is "reverse discrimination." If you can't understand the importance of Vesting and back ground checks, then I guess we might as well just give everyone the components to VX nerve gas because just because they don't have a criminal record doesn't mean they will do anything bad with it. Honestly officer, I was making Pesticides "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 7. No this was written by the San Francisco Chronicle Oct 9, 1999, if you want to call that right wing. If my link isn't working you can google "Van Jones Cop Killer" and click on the link to the San Francisco Chronicle that pops up for the full story. Read the link. Still don't find anything that would disqualify him from holding a position in government. He helped organize a rally that happened to coincide with another event. Big fuckin' deal. His object, as is clear by the article, wasn't to disrupt the other event. It did, but that was secondary. His objective was to get press. Was it a violent protest? No. Was anybody even arrested? Not according to the article! Big deal! Which goes back to the original point and the purpose of the Vetting process. Even though he wasn't guilty of anything and didn't break any laws, he still supported a cop killer. Is this the kind of person you want whispering in the ear of the leader of the free world? I guess it's OK if you don't mind your leaders and their supporting elements being devoid of any Moral Compass. It seems to be asking a lot now a days just to ask your leaders to know the difference between right and wrong. Law and order, good. Cop killer, bad. So what if he hasn't broken any laws. His decisions speak volumes of his character. I can understand that maybe he might have faced a lot of racism when he was growing up, but just like Obama said in his famous race speech about Rev Write, that is not the face of America today. If you can't see what America is today, how can you lead us to tomorrow? Either way, he doesn't belong in the White House. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 9. Show me the quote. Show me the video. http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/1999/10/09/MN91787.DTL Mumia Abu-Jamal was found guilty and the case went all the way through the supreme court. That still wasn't enough for Van Jones. I'm thinking that it was because Mumia started life as a community organizer first. Never mind that he was organizing for the Black Panthers.... It's amazing how this little detail has missed most of the Media Van Jones DIDN'T say it was OK to kill cops, but he had a record label that published a guy that did. Van Jones was defending the guy's First Amendment rights even if they are antithetical to "normal". So, again, what did Van Jones do that was wrong? Show me the quote, show me the video, show me the law that was broken? Did you even read the Link? It said that Van Jones was protesting Mumia's case in the middle of a "Code 33" where police were supposed to be listening to the San Francisco youth in an effort to build community relations. His efforts were to disrupt the event to get media attention. You mean to tell me he owns a record label that signs cop killers also? What site were you looking at? 10. Source: http://www.wpbf.com/health/20703731/detail.html And 31% of the people in this thread's poll think that this kind of police behavior is acceptable. No this behavior is not acceptable. If you blow in the tube, that should be that. If you refuse to blow in the tube, that means you are hoping to sober up enough to pass the blood test in the time it takes for them to administer it. 12. Tell me again, exactly, what laws he ever broke? Can you maybe link to me the video of him saying the "racist" things Glenn Beck says he has? The Vetting process isn't about "If he has broke laws". It is supposed to be about "is this guy a decent human being that we can trust to do the job". Just like a job interview. Just because he hasn't broke the law, do you want him working for you? Just like in Van Jones's case, do you want a guy that supports Cop Killers to have the ear of the president? No he hasn't broken any laws but.... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 13. That is an easy question. We may have heard something about the person (any radical influences and his qualifications), and maybe a little about the new "Czar" position being created. A lot of these positions can be covered by already existing cabinet positions. I understand that maybe the president might be trying to get a few people to help him out that have a "target specific" job with a specific purpose in the grand scheme of things, but it is starting to look more like he has found a good way to circumvent the vetting process after everyone he tried to hire is a radical tax cheat. The Czars need to be vetted. Even if all the process does is slow down the confirmation, at least Fox News will air the results. Just my observation. Ask a hard question. 14. Article II Section II of the US constitution: He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur; and he shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments. Just my opinion, but to much power is being given to people we know nothing about until it is to late. In some cases these people have authority over vested cabinet members. I can't wait to see the results. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  15. Obama will start to get hammered about it soon. His popularity is starting to fall as his radical left leanings and lack of experience and leadership start to show. Everybody is so distracted though that everyone has started to forget how dangerous the situation in Pakistan remains. Afghanistan will never be secure until the taliban are no longer allowed to come and go as they please. Of course, I know I am probably the only one concerned about a corrupt government on the verge of collapse in a nation full of islamic extremists and nuclear weapons. 16. Look, this guy supports cop killers, supports the 9-11 truthers, blames whitey for everything that has gone wrong in his life, is not just a socialist but an card carrying communist. Does anyone want this guy in Obama's administration? Obama himself said judge him by the company he keeps. It speaks volumes that the guy quit and Obama did not fire him. It also speaks volumes about the Czar vetting process. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 17. Another distortion. As an environmental activist, he's said, a number of times, that polluting corporations - which do tend to be primarily white-owned - tend to steer their pollution-creating activities to the poorest neighborhoods that have the least economic (and thus political) clout to oppose it, and those often tend to be black communities. He hasn't always been tactful in the way he's phrased it, but it's a far cry from what you've claimed he said. Wrong. The exact quote is "White polluters and White environmentalists are steering pollution into the black communities". Sounds pretty blatant about how he feels about us "great white oppressors". Here is his exact words: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O6gOmIalJVw No hiding what he is, a racist. He may be black, but he is still a racist. 19. I don't know about all of that, but I did see that one of Obama's Czars did promote sterilization of men and women after so many children, just like China. There was no race involved though. 20. No, they lean HONEST. It was founded by a lifelong Republican and member of Reagan's cabinet. No, they are Liberal. If you read there site with unbiased eyes you can see it. Example: Now it sounds good on the outside, but the minute an illegal is turned away, the ACLU is going to slap all kinds of racial profiling law suits on the government. Not only will they be debiting straight from your checking account, but there are also provisions in the bill that gives some authority to collect money to the IRS. This is only a few of the many loop holes I see in this. I could go on. This bill is so long and filled with so much leagal double speak that it just has to die. Me personally, I don't care who runs our health care (government or private insurance companies) as long as it covers tort reform, medical malpractise insurance, and the doctor shortage. (and this one doesn't) If these items are not covered, take it back to the drawing board. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 23. Xe/Blackwater is neither something to be ashamed of or proud of. People like to bash Blackwater because the owner is Christian and he got lots of funding under Bush. It's typical. Blackwater did help fill a void that the hollowed out military could not take care of. The problem came when they got to big to fast. In the beginning to be a Blackwater employee a person had to be an ex-SEAL/SAS/Delta force, etc. As the demands on them grew they lowered their hiring standards to ex- army rangers, airborne, until finally they were hiring any ex grunt off the street. A lot of these guys that they were now hiring had an ax to grind. That is when their problems started. You hire an ex gang-banger who has a couple of years in the infantry who just wants to shoot someone, and this is what you get. The military can't handle all of the demands put on them so Organizations like Blackwater are needed. The problems come when they grow to fast in the interest of earning a buck. 24. The point went over your head. The "renaming of a project to create public opinion" thing that the democrats like to use seems to be catching on And Sarah wasn't the creator. Go back a little further and look at the Democrats that were trying to prosecute Senator Ted Stevens(R). The name just stuck.
