  1. I did happen under Bush, and you know it, too. Yes, but he didn't try to hide it or spin it into something to carry on some kind of myth of how great he is. He told Obama as he was coming into office that the VA had problems. Once again, to Obama's credit, he did fund VA more highly than any other president. But all that went out the window when the VA tried to make him look good by covering up what a mess everything still was. That said, I don't blame Obama for this one. But just like the presidents before him I expect him to be honest with us about what's going on. It's the lie that everything is OK that hurts. To truly fix a problem, you have to acknowledge the problem. And covering it up never makes it better. ----------------------------------------------------------------- and now for the partison SC portion of my post. Wait a minute! I found the Democratic party's solution for our vets!!! It was right in front of me all along!!!! It sounds a lot like the Republican Healthcare plan as outlined by our good friend Alan Grayson!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-usmvYOPfco "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 2. Fortunately for them, there are plenty on the right happy to oblige them. When the right stops with the discriminatory politics, stops paying lip service to equality, and starts having debates of real substance then I might give your argument some level of credit. (see how it works?) The fatal flaw in your argument is that you don't seem to know the difference between race baiting and real racism. Get a clue. 3. The left needs racism. It's how they win elections. War on blacks, war on gays, war on women, etc, etc, etc,.... Then comes the pandering. Vote for me and end the war. When the left stops with the racial politics, stops pandering, and starts having debates of real substance, then I might give your argument some level of credit. Until then, the left is doing there best to keep the races segregated and feeling victimized. To politicians like LBJ, they are just stupid pawns to be used to keep them in power. As quoted above "I'll have those n*ggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years." "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  4. And you have done a good job of swallowing the lefts line to re-write history. Good job. As long as the left keeps pushing racial politics, there will be a divide in the races. Divide and conquer. That is the Saul Alinsky way. Who care what it does to the country. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  5. I didn't know "Illegal" was a race. Thank you for clearing that up. Now you're muddling the issue by throwing in religious rights. Are you suggesting that the government tell the church what to do? Way to step all over the first amendment. But keep going. I guess we can now classify gay as a race. Your being intellectually dishonest here. There is a difference between racial profiling and behavioral profiling. Only the left has a difficulty telling the difference between the two. Usually so they can continue to try to label republicans as racist in their attempt to re-write history. Didn't realise "inner city" was a race. Only Republicans though are trying to implement real changes to bring jobs back to the U.S. to bring these areas out of poverty though. Or is poverty a race also? 6. And what does this have to do with race? Unless you are saying that we send all the black kids to poor schools... Wait a minute, the Republicans are trying to get school choice going! Only the Democratic party and the school unions are fighting it... racists.... Yep, initiatives instituted by the "Dixiecrats" OK, do you have an example of legislation that says, "Only blacks shall (choose something) before they can vote?" Wait, I thought earlier you said tests at polls were racist. Now I'm confused. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  7. Really? Then why are you so adamantly defending CAGW? Have you ever visited some of these third world shit holes and seen the child labor and extreme lack of controls? If you have, then you would know that it's more than just coal fired plants dumping sludge and dead bodies into the rivers and atmosphere. But hey, it's India. None of it will ever reach 'Murica. 8. You're right, It's the cost of doing business it America that is driving factories to 3rd world shit holes. But if you don't think that excessive regulations are a part of that, your fooling yourself. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  9. You don't know me or what I do, and you think I'm lying to you, and that's fine. Doesn't change the fact that you can't provide an accurate climate change model to back up your dooms day predictions. Or that every new factory that our current regulations force over to India produces more CO2 than it would have produced in the states.... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 10. What part of "It will never be discussed in speakers corner" did you not understand? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  11. Ah yes, testing bias. You might as well though "White Privilege" in there while you are at it. The Democrats saying "I'm sorry you are black. You will never make it in this world as is. Let's change the rules for you. You will never make it unless we do. Remember to vote Democrat or you will never make it!!!" Once again, patronizing and pandering, and worse yet, saying that because they are black, there is something different about them. Way to be post racial. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  12. How on Earth is that number calculated? I'm guessing you didn't click on the link I provided. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  13. The Republican party then and now has always looked at all people as equals. The Democratic party didn't. But when they realized that blacks were going to soon be able to do things like vote, they changed tactics. LBJ gave his quote above and then they went into patronizing. Patronizing is still looking down. Affirmative Action is a prime example. What does it say about people of other races when you lower the standards for them? Or worse yet rank them? If you're this race you have to be here, if you're that race you only have to be there. Or do you truly believe black people are dumber than white people? And who brought us the concept that blacks will never get into college unless we lower the standard for them? "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  14. Really? Now there's a real boost to your credibility. Yeah, you go with that. Don't listen to Chris Matthews or Rachel Maddow much do you? I don't blame you. I wouldn't either if my choices over here weren't so limited. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  15. Can you imagine any scenario where you would be happy with something Obama said or did? Yes I can. Instead of following his usual script for a scandal, step out of his comfort zone and actually do something. It's been 3 weeks. Using language like "If wrong doing has been found" when at this point we know there has been wrongdoing, well, it says lots. To his credit, he did mention that there were a couple of people on administrative leave. Since people have died as a result of these secret waiting lists, I think criminal negligence charges are more in order. We'll see if that happens. 16. Nature nazi's killed the town I grew up in, so I joined the navy to find work. As such, I also have first hand experience on how the BLM doesn't know how to manage land. I've sucked air in many 3rd world shitholes (including India and China) and I know what real pollution is. I know how much they are polluting and we are not. I've been audited by the IRS recently. I'm still waiting for my final approval for VA benefits after retiring 2 years ago. The rest will never make it on to speakers corner. It's still classified and I still need my security clearance. Ask me again after I get a job at Home Depot. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." 17. Actually, Democrats are a lot more racist than Republicans. I can't turn on the news without hearing how "The poor down trodden black folk will never be able to make it unless we give them a hand out...." I haven't heard to many Republicans talking down to people of different races like that. Amazon even had a post on here about how college professors don't respond to people of different races as often as they do white males. Theory? After they get them into class with affirmative action, they feel they have done their part now don't want to have the face to face interaction. For more on how the Democrats have tried to re-write history check this out. I've put a few of my favorite pieces on display: http://stolenhistory.org/ "I do not want the “government” to treat me any differently than any other citizen. Therefore, I consider equality of opportunity and equal voting rights to be the summation of Civil Rights in America. If anything extra is afforded me or anyone else merely due to the color of their skin, I consider that to be an entitlement and patronizing." Lifetime Republican Party support for Equal Rights for all Citizens: 94% Lifetime Democratic Party Support for Equal rights for all Citizens: 35% "The final version of the 1964 Civil Rights Act was written by a Republican which means that since the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 to the Civil Rights Act of 1964, every Civil Rights Law was written by a Republican with more Republican support than Democratic Party Support. Some notes about its passage; Robert Byrd (D) filibustered the Bill…the longest filibuster in American History William Fulbright (D) voted against the Bill. He was Bill Clinton’s mentor. Al Gore Sr. (D) voted against the Bill Speaking to two Governors on Air Force One, then President LB Johnson was quoted saying, “”I’ll have those n*ggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years.” according Ronald Kessler’s Book in relation to the Law. My belief is that the Party’s did not change. The tactics changed. They went from Pro-Slavery to Pro-Segregation to Pro-Entitlement, all of which results in nothing beneficial for the prosperity of an individual and is considered by many of my ilk, “Plantation Politics”. 18. Well, I just saw BHO finally give a speech about the VA boondoggle. Not impressed. He seemed more concerned about his record than the actual problems themselves. This isn't like the other scandals facing his administration. With all the others he has followed a pattern. Feign anger, promise to have an investigation and hold people accountable, then withhold evidence and finally say "dude, that was 2 years ago...." Right now he seems to be following the pattern, but with this problem, it's not a one time event that can be buried and forgot about. Here is to hoping that he actually does something about it. Hopefully his investigation will produce something useful, like more bureaucracy isn't the answer. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 19. The VA, a government run single payer health care system... I just entered the VA system a couple of years ago, so my experience is limited. I will say that after 18 months, I still haven't gotten everything entered correctly and fixed yet. I filled for benefits while I was still active duty under the fast track program. Still waiting..... On a more politicized note, veterans have died from illness and committed suicide while waiting for care. I can't really blame Barrack Obama though. Everyone knew that the VA has been hosed up since the 70's. He has put more funds into the VA than any other president. I truly believe that he thought he was doing the right thing. Like most democrats, he thinks that there is no problem that can't be solved by throwing money and bureaucrats at it. From what I understand, a lot of people just shut the fuck up because they didn't want the government to "fix" it again. I'm interested to hear what other people think. 20. Believe it or not, there is something the government can do if they were serious about fixing emissions right now..... ease up regulations!!! With the current rate of passing and enforcement of draconian regulations, the government is forcing companies to build overseas where there are no regulations. If they eased up on regulations and incentivised companies to come back to the U.S., those same factories would be much cleaner and safer. Only liberals can drive jobs overseas, make the environment more dirty, then "high five" about it. "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 21. I personally like the idea of Nuclear power. The only thing that gets me is the U.S.'s refusal to recycle spent fissile material (by spent, that means it's still 95% uranium). By some estimates (posted in other threads in this forum) we have buried enough fissile material to power the U.S. for 50 years. Only when it come to nuclear waste recycling is bad. The "A" answer is to encase it in cement and bury it next to a water table or something... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 22. ???????????????????????? Since he is the president of the U.S. and I am a U.S. citizen living under his Iron Fist of NSA surveillance, IRS audits, EPA and BLM paramilitary groups, and drone strikes, you lost me with your logic there. Believe it or not, they have all affected me. You don't know me, where I have lived or what I have done. Edited to add: A crappy VA system also... 23. Great, so at the current rate of CO2 is climbing in the atmosphere we'll hit 5% in 2.5 million years (give or take).... "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss." Life, the Universe, and Everything
  24. Not a valid argument. Polonium is highly toxic. The earth actually needs CO2. Without it the trees would die. Why do you hate trees? Edited to add: and yes, it's only climing at a rate of 2 parts per million http://uscentrist.org/platform/positions/environment/context-environment/docs/HadleyMSU_temps_v_Co2.jpg/view "There is an art, it says, or, rather, a knack to flying. 25. A rebuttal to the Presidents National Climate Assesment http://www.scribd.com/doc/224538945/NCA-Rebuttal Yup, a 2 parts per million increase per year of a gas that composes .04% of the atmosphere is going to destroy life as we know it during our lifetime.
