  2. Thanks for posting Michael! - Well done the Aussies! SA Nationals are from the 26th to 28th June, with practice from the 20th June onwards - Hope to see some of you there in prep for the WC.... Jasper >
  3. I seem to remember that it was verbalized that we will have to drag through the 1st gate, intermediates perhaps not, to put a score on the cards. Final doc will reveal all! BTW, the doc needs clarification as to course layout as well...40m on land to end of all scoring zones, or 50 m.... >
  4. http://www.jsc.co.za/ Pictures & facebook group soon! (PJ :) ) >
  5. http://www.fai.org/parachuting/node/1023 1st to 6th December 2009. Still waiting for the published rule changes..... >
  6. I've been using Daedalus lines, non coated, (1st set came off last week,) since may 2007, a little ragged on the 4 "corner"outside lines. otherwise they looked good. I changed my 1000lb brake line at 300 jumps... 15% rds usage. mostly terminal. >

  16. Bit OT-BUT ! Hey dude-don't you think you should keep your canopy connected to your harness first ? !!!! LOL-Pretty little blue canopy you were flying the other day ain't "really" swoopable >
  17. Pretoria Skydiving Club-South Africa The google pics are a bit outdated----wonder when the satelite will make a pass over again-lol >
  18. Thanks for the detailed heads up Brian. J >
  19. Thanks Peej ! Sorry Guys-should have been more specific. The "talk" about it is so that intermediates don't get "fixated" about having to land in a specific area.A fair enough comment-as a dicipline,CP is newish in S.A. would like opinions and experienced pilots to comment
  20. Just wondering:--- Should Intermidiate CP's (less than 1000 jumps) be allowed to do accuracy in competition ? I'd like to hear all the pro's & cons(not just the obvious:- fixation etc). Also suggestions for rule "re-arrangement" for intermediates ( double gates, limited turn angle-(180deg max)etc). My thoughts are that one day Intermediates will be "Open" class-how do we get "experience" in comp, and not have to start off at 1000 jumps as a "newbie" accuracy pilot. Thoughts & experience ? >
  21. Having done the canopy course at AFFC,I'd recomend it to ALL skydivers here. Great guy and teacher that Brian is.. I hope we can bring him back as a collective effort to do more of his courses ! Money well spent J >
