This thread has cracked me up. YOU are the ONLY one from Jax that is speaking up on behalf of this dz. Are you their designated spokesperson? Why aren't they backing you in any way? Did they ask you to do this then hang you out to dry? Then someone who disbelieves that anything has changed gave the place a shot and got shafted...??! Not sure this is a place I am in a hurry to run off to! Sounds like in your last post you are starting to see the light. I think myself and my friends will be sticking to a reputable/structured dz. And as for Cathy's attempt to get Fernandino back up, I would support her. She is an upstanding, reputable person who will not shaft her fun jumpers. Knowing and understanding that tandems pay the bill, I would wait my turn to support someone who supports us! Whether Palatka has a turbine or not, we all work it out! Fun jumpers don't get shafted. But you are obviously getting something out of your support for Jax, so-by all means-support on! The rest of us will be jumping, though! Have a great day! We are! Let's have fun! :)

Sorry about your grief Chuck! That really sucks. This is not a good time for you to have to worry about the possibility of having ca. You have worked so hard to be where you are. Hang in there. If we can do anything to help out, let us know. You don't have to go through this alone. You have a lot of friends! Take care of yourself! Be careful with that bottle! I would definitely dispute the charges. But do not bring up the angle where you say ...'my doctor says that amount of medicine would be considered an overdose....' cus I have been in emergency medicine for nearly 20 yrs and being a migraine sufferer I can tell pain overrides the effectiveness of meds sometimes and what may normally be an overdose....well...during a pain filled episode may not even touch the pain. Take an angle you will win from. Not that one. The fact that you walked out of there will cause you to lose that fight. But DO deny the charges for venipuncture and IV solutions and meds/services you did not receive. Just my 2 cents. Let's have fun! :)

Sorry Les. I understand that. I always wished I could talk to my mom one last time and ask her things I never understood. She died when I was six. I woke up 3 days later in Shands Teaching Hospital to find out she was gone. The same with my brother...we were separated and finally found each other. Planned a sisters/bro reunion..the first in 13 yrs...he died 1 month beforehand...it never happened. And to have known my real father on any level. Geez...now I want one of those beers! Let's have fun! :)

Here! Here! I agree. And I absolutely HATE people who use absolutes. All men are like this.... ALL women think this way....Bullshoit!!! Deal with your issue and look at the human race again with open eyes!! I have had my share of crap, but if I chose to sit back and whimper and think all people are the same, then I would have robbed myself and others of great life experiences. I firmly believe in learning from your history, like you said misapplication of that lesson can keep you trapped or missing out on something good! I believe in introspection and 'red flags' but not in labeling or discreditting without proof or more info to back up that thought, etc. You know what I mean! I love when people have not let bad experiences imprison them! That is so cool!

Yes, there was a lot of jumping. Some RW groups, freeflying, wingsuiting, high pulling-canopyplaying, as well as some hop n pops and swooping. Though we had some clouds and winds, we still flew quite a few loads with little to no waiting. It was a good weekend. Tammie
