I started jumping in a club environment where many of our traditions were upheld. IMHO, the commercialization of skydiving has diluted the traditions to some degree. Some local variations do exist. However, most would agree that you are not going to see someone pouring at an SCR ceremony if they have not been poured on. I'm sure they would be beaten.
