I hear ya!..It is good to be involved in local comradity and hang out with your local DZ..but if you're itching to proceed then go where you can and "just DO it"! It is a new culture for me too. But, as I've found, it is a small community worldwide and everyone embraces everyone with open arms! Don't you think? _________________________________________

Wish I even gave a rip when I was in my 20s! That's great to even contemplate about where you are and where you want to be in the 20s. I wouldn't call it a quarter life crisis..I'd call it someone who woke up early _________________________________________

I got hooked about a month ago at Skydive Chicago with my first 2 tandems. Then, came home to Colorado and began the AFF program. I know you'd like to stay at your home DZ, but if you go to warmer states (AZ or FL) you can still do the AFF/AFP while it's fresh and you're still excited! Just a thought! _________________________________________

Fairhope. I grew up there and moved to Colorado 20 years ago and have stayed. Since my new addiction to skydiving, I've talked my brother into going with me (if the weather is good) over the Thanksgiving holiday. We both have soo many Flora/Bama High School memories! It'd be cool to re-live it all. I'm hoping that he gets addicted to skydiving too! We are so much alike, I have a feeling that I'm about to awaken his "giant within"! P'cola is really close to Flora/Bama!

Has anyone been to Emerald Coast DZ which has beach dives landing at Flora/Bama? If so, what do you think? My family is there and I want to do a jump "back home" around Thanksgiving. _________________________________________

Yeah...I'd strongly advise not to be throwing around any rubber bands unless you want to shit yourself! My friends in HS were so bad..I remember pissing on myself b/c I couldn't hold it at a local bar, and my friends took me home like that and sprayed me with a lot of Este Lauder perfume. My mom took me to CHURCH smelling like piss, perfume, and liquor! and made me pay the price of the "evil eye!" for an hour! _________________________________________

Yeah...it WAS a hs thing, ya know..I was so bad then. now i'm an..he, he.. Yep, I remember it tasted like notebook paper floating around in my coke! And, the taste stayed in my sinuses for a day or two..not bad, just different. _________________________________________

Are you serious about the schroomz? I remember the experience from HS, a friend of mine threw rubber bands on the hood of her Mustang and I freaked!!!!They turned into snakes!...then we were caught by the drivers Ed teacher and drug in by my ear to my MOM who was the principal's secretary..that bit bad! I couldn't get away with much which is why I scored so high on the purity questionnaire..Happy Halloween! or should I say "happy trippin'".. _________________________________________
