  1. Welcome to dz.com and congrats on your First jump. Hope you do many more.
  2. Welcome to the Forums! It is nice to meet another person born and raised in FL. I was born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami (I spent alot of time in both). Try skydive Deland, Skydive Miami, Lake Wales, there are a slew of places in FL. Skymama will say "come to Deland"!
  3. 25:0 (gonna get a few more jumps today hopefully no reserve rides) 32:32 (age thingy-ma-bob)
  4. yeah don't pull late, unless of course you are. Wilkommen.
  5. The addiction only gets worse the closer you get to getting licensed because you start doing cool stuff. Then you do your fisrt 4-way or solo or sit fly and forget it you are toast and every spare dime (and some slated for bills) goes into it. Gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump, gotta jump. Yeah kinda like that. Welcome to the forums and the skies.
  6. I did levels 1-3 on the first day and I had some serious bruises. Part of it is the student rigs, one size does NOT fit all. The other part, make sure you tighten them up good. Welcome to the skies. Welcome to the forums.
  7. Done the C-141, 130 and I think the other one was an OV-10 Bronco (not sure of the nomenclature on that one I could be wrong). They were all static line. Freefall - 182 and Twin Super Otter. Gotta say I like the Otter the best so far. Of course I have done some spy-rigging. THAT WAS A BLAST! (Think barefoot water skiing only in the sky and hanging from the bottom of a Heuy and only being able to control spin, but still fun). Would not mind doing a swan dive like ReLLik said. Maybe I need to get to a dz with a back door equipped aircraft. Sounds cool. Cannot imagine doing it off the Otter though. 182 was cool but the ride to alt sucks so bad I do not want to do it again. I am too big and not limber enough to move around in that thing without pissing the pilot off.
  8. I have wanted to fly since I could walk. Riding a bike was just flying in my mind. I really wanted to be a fighter pilot. But since I had bad eyesight I could not fly for the military. So . . I figured if I cannot fly then I might as well jump!. SOooooo I joined the Marines and did a zillion static lines and then got my discharge in 1991 for the past twelve years I have been dreaming of skydiving but did not have the money to do it until this year. And now I really fly!!!!!!!!!!!! Of course right now I fly like a brick but hey whose gonna know!
  9. As a ntavie Born and raised Floridian Living in Ohio for the past 3 years, yeah let's go to Florida ANYWHERE has got to be better than this nasty cold wet stuff here. Here - - 32 degrees and wet (Today) Florida - - 80 degrees Sunny and DRY!!!! (Today) Hmmm who cares about swoop swamps when the skies are blue Oh yeah and the gators there don't eat much. You usually get away only loosing an arm or leg.
  10. Beer for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You'll have to collect it in Lake Wales Dec 24th though
  11. Can help you partially after New YEars since I am going to Lake Wales for Collegiate Nationals. Out of curisoty why is Skydive Deland not on your list? I hear it is pretty sweet.

  14. Yeah I have too many military static lines to count. I would have to look in my copy of my SRB which is buried somewhere in all my junk. It was a lot, of course you did not want us to say anything if we were military but oh well. No matter now I freefall!!! Oh yeah and I just finished my A license!!!!!!
  15. Hmmm dilemma. The boogie looks like it should be fun and my best friend (whom I have managed to get hooked on skydiving) has a brother who lives out in Pheonix. Now the boogie is looking more attractive. So many dropzones, so little time!
  16. Bwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! It is Dec 24-Jan4. Pre...heck no I want to meet everyone! Hmm well which is it, folks! If it is Dec. 24-Jan 4 I cannot make it I am going to collegiates in Lake Wales Florida!!! WooHoo! February on the other hand sounds doable!
