  4. You can serch the word christmas ont he yahoo web site, but it is not advertised , on all of the shoping pages it says "holiday" you can serch the word christmas to get more. even if you select the christmas giflt guide it goes back to "Holiday" http://shopping.yahoo.com/b:Holiday%20Gifts%202004:784700505 ~Shelly
  5. If it is to early for christmas greetings then why do they have there whole shopping website Holiday gift guide with pictures of christmas trees and a santa hat on the yahoo shopping sign? It seams to me that they have already started with any holiday stuff they are going to have. And besides Christmas is only a little more then two weeks away it is pretty close. I think it is BS that we cant say what we want anymore. I work for a big company and we arent allowed to say Meryy christmas or put up christmas decorations outside of my cubical, our christmas party is now a "Holiday party" You know what I say Fuck that Merry Fucking christmas and if you dont like it go somewhere else. Welcome to america the land of free speech right? IT all seems to be such bull shit. And I think Americans need to start standing up for themselves instead of letting political correctness rule there lives. I am waiting to here back from yahoo, hopefully they did think it was to early for christmas audibles but if not that is just fucked up. OK rant over Merry Christmas to everyone ~Shelly

  16. I found the Diving exit to be much easier to stay stable in, your pretty much already belly to earth you just have to keep it that way. It is still me favorite exit What made it more comfortable for me was on my first diving exit my JM took a floating position in the door and I put both my hands on his chest and I dove out with him. But everyone is different thats just how it was for me ~Shelly
  17. At my DZ there is no real issues with Newbies jumping together. I had just done a 4 way with a jumper who had 28 jumps and just got his A ( we didnt try anything radical just got the fall rate thing and tracked off at 5,000) I think If you are not trying anything radical maybee just some basics like fall rate, staying together without taking grips ect.. then it is not so dangerous for newbies jumping together. Not to say that I would do a two way and try to turn points if i did not know how well that person flew. But I do agree that it is more valuable to jump with an experienced jumper, I dont usualy jump with other newbies unless there are no experinced skydivers around. Hell I did a 9 point 4 way last week (Got thrown around a bit) But that never would have happened if we where all at my experience level, and it could have been pretty ugly with 4, 42 jump wonders like myself. ~Shelly
  18. I know I only have 42 jumps but this was the advice I was given. Before making any decisions, you should take some sort of canopy control course. Take a look at your canopy control on video, you may feel like your ready for more performance under canopy but is everything else there to, accuracy can you land in a back yard, can you get back from a long spot? I took Scott Millers canopy control class and lerned so much about flying my canopy to the best of my abilities, I would recomend this class to anyone starting out in this sport. His class gave me the confidence to make my step down to a sabre 170, im 125lbs and dont see my self getting bored with this canopy for a long time. Until I can land on a that X every jump there is no need to go any smaller. You may be pleasantly surprised at how much faster the 170 will be from the student gear you are jumping now Belive me my first jump on non student gear a sabre2 190 I ended up in a corn field 25 ft past my landing area because you cover so much more ground faster while gliding!!! Hope you get under your own gear soon, be safe ~Shelly
  19. That is how i eventually got my finger out. But even with all the tension released from the line the knot was still winched around pretty good I eventualy got it out at a safe altitude with a minor heart attack of course!! ~Shelly
  20. No i tried to let go of the toggles. The knot was so tight it would not budge and when it initialy happened My finger ended up pressed up against the silver grommet right above where the toggles stow. It took a lot of force to get it loose enough to slip my finger out. It was blue and you could see a indentation where the line had been for a few hours after. ~Shelly
  21. Hmmm I don't think anyone needs to comment Its pretty obvious!! Cowboys suck http://www.dallascowboys.com/news_camp_notes.cfm?id=607BCE60-901D-F638-75C85BEED1DF8AA5 Well see where they stand soon enough!! ~Shelly
  22. Before this canopy I only jumped the DZ's gear usually a Nav 200 I would have o problem landing that canopy off the airport. I decided to demo a sabre2 190 to be under a different canopy but I was not used to having a canopy with so much glide. 4 out of my 5 landings on that canopy where in my landing area where I wanted to land. It was only the first day of jumping the canopy that I over shot my target by about 25 ft and landed in a corn field, the amount of glide it had caught me a little off guard! Now if I had to land off the airport there are plenty of outs I could land that canopy in because they are pretty big, one being a golf course. But there wher no outs in the direction I was heading. I did Rush and shouldn't have. The very next jump I had a great spot and decided to take things much slower. Did some riser turns and flares, then slowly unstowed my toggles, watching the extra brakes lines carefully!!. I plan to go slower once my canopy is open I def. learned my lesson. Thanks for the reply. ~Shelly
  23. Im not used to jumping with a slider you can collapse I always forget to do that. But the reason I unstowed them quickly was because I was pretty far from the airport and was not heading back to it. Instead of using my rear risers to turn I wanted to turn a bit faster so I could be over the run way by 1000 ft so I unstowed them. I also think it being a new canopy also made me feel a but rushed to get into my holding area. I defiantly didnt want to land out on this canopy. I will paying more attention to detail nex time ~Shelly
