  1. I can't believe we agree, but very well said !
  2. http://maddowblog.msnbc.com/_news/2013/04/30/17988466-fear-of-the-youth-vote-now-in-ohio?lite Do you think it's right under any circumstances to make it harder for anybody who can legally vote, to vote?
  3. Please name one right that has naturally been given to you...
  4. Very nice Article form an outside perspective. I have been to the US often since my brother lives in California and I try to keep updated on current affairs in the US. It's often more entertaining than what happens in Germany. After following the developments and discussions in the US I have come to one conclusion. The US has systematically taken common sense out of every aspect of life. Be it the judiciary system, food, politics the reaction to violence. It doesn't really matter.
  5. I don't want to open a new Thread... But I haven't seen Ron around for a while. He was always entertaining... Does anybody know what happened to him ?
  6. http://news.yahoo.com/ward-churchill-finally-aces-075033160.html Nough said.

  9. The just had to admit, the monkey never went to space... Did you see the pics of their new model aircraft ? http://www.businessinsider.com/irans-new-indigenous-fighter-qaher-313-david-cenciotti-2013-2
  10. I think a Government that it's own people cannot trust is the problem. A Government with double standards is a problem and a Government constantly lying to it's people is a big problem. Having a two party system making it virtually impossible to get rid of that government is the biggest problem of them all.
  11. I agree with you, though lots of people write for that site all under the same pseudonym. I think this is pretty well written.
  12. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2013-01-30/rise-americas-lunatic-fringe Despite the title, I think it's written pretty balanced...
  13. That is not so far from the truth. You have to realize that a weapon system, esp. a complex one like a fighter jet needs tons of maintenance and spare parts. The reason Americans are not really worried about them being against themselves is, they stop supplying spares and 3 months later the fleet is essentially grounded.
  14. http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/01/19/16603029-5-accidentally-shot-at-gun-shows-in-north-carolina-ohio-indiana?lite Responsible gun owners...
  15. The fact remains, that he is a business man who's standing on any given issue is indeterminable and he has a thorough contempt for half the population.
  16. And what a brilliant job he did...http://www.kgw.com/news/national/Feds-bailed-out-Romneys-2002-Winter-Olympics-163999746.html
  17. Thank you for adding to the discussion.
  18. I agree with you on that, yet I don't think that is the core of the problem. You have to ask yourself why shows like jersey shore are so popular. Just out of curiosity, which would those be ?

  20. Well a lot of these taxes are used to pay for infrastructure like roads you use every day, 100 years ago your horse did not need a road. They pay for schools, police, the fire department and lots of agencies that control that you are not being poisoned by food suppliers or medical suppliers. Fly in unmaintained aircraft. I'm not saying that taxes are spent efficiently and that is where debates starts, but there has to be some form controlling body for all these people to live together more or less peacefully. Enforce the constitution which guarantees your rights. And that controlling body has to paid for. I pay over 40% of my wages for taxes, health insurance(which is involuntary) and social security. And I do it gladly because my country and I benefit greatly. I never have to worry that an unexpected illness will make me miss a mortgage rate. And since I consider myself patriotic I will gladly pay for my less fortunate country men because as society, we all benefit. If you would just use your brain a little bit even you could comprehend that the world has changed dramatically over the past 100 years and the quality of life has increased vastly. I'm not going to look up statistics, but think of the keywords, infant mortality, maternal mortality, life expectancy, literacy(though I don't think you consider this an improvement) and violent death. edit: I accidentally a word.
  21. Yeah I replied to myself. You are defending your position nicely.
  22. So you would rather have child labor, limited to no female education, regular famines where people literally starved to death, lynchings. A much lower life expectancy and on and on... How on earth can you be so ignorant ?
  23. You had me at "completely neutral" and "poem in the end" ...
