well, the only reserve I have landed has been a round. Plus the times that I've jumped a round as a main too. I can't really demo much here, being a canadian and all, it's a pretty large pain in the ass to get stuff across the border, so.... I am thinking a vengeance 97 when I'm ready for it... I have the money currently (from an estate settlement) To get some gear for myself, I have decided on getting a container, probably a helmet, and 2 audibles... I figure that by the time I've saved the cash to put something inside the container, I will be ready for about a 97... that puts me at about a 1.4-1.5 WL. Should be about another 150-200 jumps before that happens I would imagine, but I figure since I have the cash now, I shoudl use it for something that I might not be able to afford later. I may... I'm in the decision making process. S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

ok, just wondering... what's the biggest/best reserve that will fit into a Voodoo size V00? I'm planning on getting a new container in the near future, and want to look for a new reserve for it. It says at RI's website that it would fit a dash-m 109... would a PD113 fit into it, or is that too big? I agree with you 100%, I think there should be more canopy control videos out there, especially on some of the more aggresive techniques, BUT, although old, fly like a pro does cover the basic ideas of canopy flight, and is still a really good tool to have at your disposal, even if it presents one situation you hadn't thought of in the past, it's worth it. Same with breakaway, everyone should see this AT LEAST once. Instructors: Do you feel like you're paid enough?

I think I am. Not that I would complain about more, but I really enjoy dispatching students, and look forward to getting more ratings so I can instruct a higher level, but yeah, I'd probably do it for free too... well, the free jump would still have to be there. hehehe. Thanks, I'd appreciate that... time for change won't let me upload it for some reason... have to try it myself. S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

How do you modify pictures to make them avatar sized? S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

You could go to my house, my parents would probably use the company... I'm going to see the girl of my dreams S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

http://www.bigairsportz.com/publishing.php there's one... good read actually. S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

Along the same lines... If you could fly any canopy out there, which would it be? Also, if you could fly any canopy out there other than a PD canopy out there, what would it be? Assuming the first will be brand loyal. fantabulous, or ginormous... I'm not sure on the spelling on the second, but since I don't think it's actually a word, I'll go with it. no, it sure doesn't take away our freedom to think. It does indeed however take away our freedom to act when in uniform. S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

I don't know if the American military is the same, but I know in the Canadian military, the difficulty of tracking someone down, is inversely proportional to the rumours about what that person did the other day... I don't think it would be too hard. well, I have an older Javelin J1, it's still in good shape though, I'm gonna keep it, wanna turn it into a CReW rig. The stiletto has about 900 jumps on it with about 100 on the lines, and I'll either sell that to a friend of mine, or keep it too. heheheh... you're probably right, I would beg you to pack for me, but I'd give you all the hugz you could handle. S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

I load mine at about 5:1, but it is a round, so... I have every confidence that I can land it conscious and uninjured without incident, anything other than that, and it's a crap shoot. hehehe S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

lol. I was already confused, and I hadn't really thought of it like that... hehehe, then again, I'm usually sane. heehehe S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

Well, so far what I've learned from this, is that the people who think I should get the container are more likely to post than those that say go for the main. Also, that I was ok in having the tough decision, as the results are closer than Bush vs. Gore
-
I don't think it will be that big of a deal really... neither the main, nor the container will be in the light of day until they are together really, so the colour thing shouldn't be an issue.... I don't know, not one that I'm overly concerned with anyhow
-
well, it will all be coordinated too, you don't have to buy it all at the same time to pick the right colours. S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".

Well, I don't NEED a new main, but I want to use this money towards my next set of gear while I have it rather than wait till I'm ready to use it and not be able to afford it. That's all. S.E.X. party #1 "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "f*#k, what a ride".
-
ok, so here's the deal. Soon I will have the cash to either get a new main, or a new container... I'm having a hard time deciding which to get first. I will end up getting them both, but am trying to figure out which one sitting there will get me more motivated to save for the rest of the rig. How many jumps did you do in your first year of skydiving?
fool replied to andy2's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
