  1. Why not just use a cameye2?It's safer and more practical. It doesn't zoom or take stills, but why would you need to use the zoom in freefall, and like jd says, why not just take video grabs on the ground ?
  2. Just checking that you told 2K you wanted the helmet set up for HC not PC cameras,as they do one for each? . God gave men 2 brains, but only enough blood to fill one at a time....I can live with that.

  4. It's about time you started talking sense Danny.Jolly well done. Now I've got to go interfere with some female iguanas with my cattle prod. God gave men 2 brains, but only enough blood to fill one at a time....I can live with that.
  5. My thoughts go out to Emma,Irish's girlfriend.Hold on in there, girl. Irish, you helped me become a better skydiver. You put me up in your house. And nearly turned me into an alcoholic. Miss you bro. Fly free Colin Scoff, glad you made it.Heal well My condolences to friends and families of those not fortunate enough to make it. 6. What exposure is it set to?If on auto and a fast shutter speed is selected, then a low f-stop will be used to let in more light if needed.A low f-stop means a small depth of field and the opposite with a high f-stop number God gave men 2 brains, but only enough blood to fill one at a time....I can live with that.
  7. Glad to hear it's fixed. The code relates to a problem with the moisture sensor, which is there to stop the tape sticking to the head. God gave men 2 brains, but only enough blood to fill one at a time....I can live with that.

  13. Couldn't be bothered to read through the rest of the answers but here goes... I had the same code. The manual says you can fix this problem yourself.Don't believe the manual! The moisture sensor has had a mal and will need to be replaced. The moisture sensor is there in case the head gets wet.If the tape sticks to the head, then it's had it.Fair one.I figured the head must be much more expensive than the sensor but it isn't,so why bother having it??? I tried everything the manual said but to no avail;removing battery;leaving tape tray open;resetting camera etc .Good luck God gave men 2 brains, but only enough blood to fill one at a time....I can live with that.
  14. Lost the manual.Having problems. Please help... The camera works fine with no film, but when I load one it doesn't seem to be winding it all on.The film symbol flashes and the camera will not fire.Batteries are fine. . 15. What a great little dz. Probably the friendliest I've been to. Staff and jumpers were extremely hospitable. I felt like part of the family straight away. The visuals are stunning, with views of a beautiful coastline. Coaching is available for both flat and freeflyers. The dz is not over-run with tandems either If all that doesn't grab you, then a plane that goes from wheels off to wheels down,up to 14,000ft in 15 minutes, has got to put the icing on the cake. The dz also offers free camping and showers, with the alternative of B & B for those who prefer a bit more comfort. The food is good quality, reasonably priced, available all day, with an evening meal available too. Jump tickets are £18 and it's easily possible to jump plenty on the weekend. To sum up,it's the best single plane operation I've been to. Go there. P.S. They know how to party too!

  21. Unfortunately,it's all on hold for the time being so it may not happen this year as the landowner is applying for planning permission and does not want anything that may rock the boat. Maybe next year..... .. God gave men 2 brains, but only enough blood to fill one at a time....I can live with that.
  22. Hey K2, Good to know you're still alive buddy. How's things in NZ?You must be getting busy by now.You a TI yet? When are you going to Russia? And which DZ?I'm organising a "budget boogie" for mid July. Not sure where yet,it could be Kolomna,Borki,or Stupino.I'm trying to keep the price down to the equivalent of about 2000 of your Kiwi dollars(that will include 50 skydives.)Would be great to see you there. We could get seriously damaged on proper vodka($6 a bottle!) Anyway, got back from Oz in April and have been concentrating on freeflying since then....I'm still shit though! My mate Alex (Taupo) is back jumping after smashing himself up which is good news and he hopes to be back doing tandems next year sometime. Anyway, get back to me about Russia Matt ... 23. I am interested in any information on Russian dropzones, preferably busy ones, that anyone may have first-hand experience of. Any info on dz conditions;friendliness;accomodation;food etc would be much appreciated. I have checked out the dropzone database but want to know more... Nice . 24. As you will not be staying current,I wouldn't suggest going smaller than a 170,preferably a square canopy, too.Make sure you downsize to this from the 230 with plenty of jumps on canopies inbetween. Remember though, that you can still damage yourself on a large canopy. It's what you do close to the ground that matters. Until you can fly the hell out of the 170 in any weather condition then you don't really need to downsize. Be safe. It's the skydive that counts. The canopy ride is just a bonus(at this stage anyway) .. God gave men 2 brains, but only enough blood to fill one at a time....I can live with that.
