Another reason why it's great to be hyper-aware under canopy!
SkydiveJack replied to NWFlyer's topic in The Bonfire
At least they didn’t say “The skydivers, who ran out to strip the body of valuables, were surprised to find the pilot still alive.” But seriously, great job people!!! -
I was out flying today and spotted this Citation on the ramp in CMH. I wonder if they party a lot on it.

Can you put it on YouTube?

Has anyone found a real link to an actual video of the approach and crash of Jack's airplane? Every link I found on Google or YouTube is either a scam or shows post accident video.

MULTIPLE RANCHES IN LAREDO, TX TAKEN OVER BY LOS ZETAS
SkydiveJack replied to Gawain's topic in Speakers Corner
Source; http://lmtonline.com/ It's entirely possible the story reported by The Cypress Times was a fabrication. Ya think? Yeah, I don't understand why this was done, but the take over of these ranches seems to be a fabrication. I am shocked to find out that not everything I read on-line is true!!!! -
MULTIPLE RANCHES IN LAREDO, TX TAKEN OVER BY LOS ZETAS

Hey Gang. I can find nothing about this in the mainstream news sources (TV & Newspaper) in Laredo. Nor is there anything on CNN, Fox and MSNBC. Can anyone confirm this story through a nationally recognized news source? -
I looked and looked. I didn't see one titled "Men Only".

Does Felix know about this??????? Of course he does. How do you think he's going to get way up there?

Bells Brewery in Kalamazoo Michigan makes a seasonal beer called Hopslam. I’ve never tasted anything hoppier than this. It’s way, way, waaaaay beyond anything I have been able to make myself.

My God is the one and only true loving and peaceful God. And if you believe in some false god, and not my God, then I will kill you, in the name of God. Amen -

Today I went down and volunteered in the clean up operation. I was working at a house, I mean what was left of a house, picking up pieces and throwing them in a dumpster. I got to talking with a guy that lived in the home next to where I was working. He told me about some unusual things that happened in his home and offered to show them to me. Of course I took him up on his offer. The two photos attached show a single slat of a venetian blind and a corn cob that were driven into a door and a wall. Pretty amazing!

Last night around 2:15 AM a tornado blew through Dundee Michigan, about 5 miles south of my home. Fortunately there have been no deaths reported. Other people further south in Ohio weren’t so lucky. I think 7 people were killed just west of Toledo. The wife and I took a drive to see what happened just to the south of us. I have never been near a tornado and have never seen the immediate aftermath in person. I Was Amazed! And Awed! And Scared! This was a relatively small tornado, rated as an F-2 on a scale from 1 to 5. But the power this thing had was incredible! I saw a house that has been pushed off its foundation. Telephone poles were snapped like toothpicks. In picture #2 the cars you see were in a garage, until the garage was pulled up, up and away! I talked to the daughter of a couple who were in their home when it got hit. It happened so fast all they could do was grab each other in bed and hold on to each other while their roof was pulled off and shattered pieces fell on them. The woman had a cut on her finger and that was all! I have seen the aftermath of tornados on TV for years. Seeing it up close and personal was a whole different matter. It must be such a helpless feeling when one hits with little or no warning. And it blows me away that what I saw was the aftermath of a “small” tornado. Holy Shit

Nobody has mentioned jump numbers and experience yet. Besides all the rules to follow (NOTAM, land owners permission, Certificate of Authorization if required, etc.) you need to have the necessary experience to jump into your yard. Is your home way out in the country side or in a big urban area? How big is the yard? How many jumps do you have? Oops, I’m falling into the trap! Just read through the link someone was nice enough to post earlier with the previous discussions on this topic. Whatever you do, don’t make the news!

My guess is quick thinking to put his wallet in his front pocket before Police arrived...who da hell carries their wallet in a front pocket? I do. I have been doing it for over 30 years. There are a lot of good reasons for wearing it in the front. One of the top ones is to prevent irritating a large nerve in your leg. -

I would like to see her do it too but her website seems pretty dead. The last bit of news on it was dated in 2005. Anybody know anything about her Strato Quest? -
Apparently, he is now officially history.
