  1. From a number of things. Firstly, my 4 and 8 way team experience, followed by my stint as the chief organizer and general manager of one of the world's largest drop zones, and more recently, as a load organizer and world record event co-captain. I do. I'm not going to shill for them here in the context of your question, but the sponsors that I have right now, provide the best equipment available, backed with te best customer service IMO. Yes again. I get offered other endorsement deals on a very regular basis. None of what I'm offered is better than what I have, so there is no reason to reccomend equipment that I feel doesn't measure up to what I have now.
  2. This is true. I am also a very sexy man. I don't think you're sexy. You don't turn me on AT ALL. Liar. I've seen the way you look at me.

  4. First learned principles my dear fellow. Remember your course. Pull, Pull at the correct altitude, pull at the correct altitude and stable. In a low altitude bailout, choose your main or reserve and get out and pull. You'll most likely be OK. This isn't really a problem for most jumpers who learned on the static line program though. They are usedto lower altitutes. For example, my first freefall was from 2800.
  5. I doubt there is an official definition, but I'd say it was someone who was reasonably well known and regarded for ability in their field in places outside of their country of origin, as well as within it. Like nicknames though, it loses a lot of cache when you apply it to yourself. It should be conferred by general concensus, much like the term "steaming asshole" is to the other side of the equation. Mind you, I know a few people who are both world class skydivers and steaming assholes, so I guess it's not mutually exclusive.
  6. I just said that because I've seen them used for BASE. They used to be quite sought after at one time, just like the old Django Pegasus. Mind you, that was in the days before there was so much quality BASE gear designed specicially for that purpose. Most of the canopies were modified skydiving canopies then. Looking at the picture of that canopy, it doesn't actually look too ragged out. I wouldn't want to jump it though. Perhaps a car cover would be it's best use now.
  7. Yup, you're right. I missed the attatment to the main when I looked at the picture. There was a Woomera rig though, no joke.
  8. Well, two things spring to mind here. Firstly, The main canopy is a Para-Flite Cruiselite, an old F1-11 7 Cell. It's probably seen better days, but it could be used if inspected, or see some use as a BASE canopy with some modification. Also, the big clue as to why no one's come forward to claim that main, is the freebag. It's a rare hand deployed reserve system. If you look at the reserver pilot chute, you'll see that there is no spring there, just a pullout handle. The only rig that was widely available with that system was the Australian Woomera system, buily by Roochutes. You saw a few of them in the states, but not many. I suspect that it was cutaway by a visiting foreign jumper who has since gone home. How long that thing's been out in a field is anyone's guess, as I haven't seen a Cruiselite being jumped in a few years, or a Woomera for even longer.
  9. There is, but it's fairly worthless to try to use it. It's all to do with drag coeficcients, and parasitic drag, and laminar flow, and clever stuff like that. If you try to work it out, bees will shoot out of your ears, and you'll still wind up low. Women are different from men in more than the obvious ways, and one of these is in the distribution of bulk in the torso, and the amount of flexibilty in the hips. A woman of a given size and weight usually has the capacity to fall faster than a similar size and weighted guy because of the ablity to arch more. A guy may have the ability to fall in place at high speeds more easily because of the higher proportion of weight in the upper torso. As with all things YMMV, but as a rule of thumb when doing coaching or AFF, I tend to wear a faster jumpsuit for smaller females.

    Cars on ebay

Got my Mercedes SLK230 Kompressor off eBay. No problems at all and about $5K under book. I made sure to go look at it and drive it before I handed over the cash though.
  11. Plaything and I BOTH have BMWs.. hmmm... that makes sense..
  12. Ok, now I see it. It is different than the spongebobs. The two ways at the sides do have a sub grip, but with the hangers on leg straps, it's going to be very hard for them to get their legs out to balance the weight and pull of the hanger and stinger. That's becuase the hanger will be pulling the inbound hips on each person down, which causes a turn that only gets worse when you try to extend the legs. I'd move the hanger to chest straps if that is possible, because it will centre the weight in the same way as the piece that it has to retain proximity on. If that can't be done, just try to get them as close to the centreline of the piece as possible. With the upside down stinger going for a foot grip on one side there, you're going to need to get as much mass to the centre of that piece as possible. Should be fun though. I'll watch it.
  13. No I don't. And might I add what a refreshing change from the usual spelling of "annoyance" that was.
  14. Well, the links to the real plan don't work for me, but if it's anything like the spongebobs, it's going to funnel bigtime when you release grips on the centre two with hanger. You need more grip integrity on the back pieces because they are essentially phalanxes. They tend to collapse aound the centre grip normally, so they are even more likely to do so with a hanger and a diver on them. You need a subgrip on the rear pieces. But what do I know. I'm just an old RW dinosaur with cool pink shorts. Anyway, where's my landing picture ?
  15. It's not that. People just take an instant dislike to you because it saves time.
  16. Is that what I smelled in the plane? No, that was my delightful musk.
  17. Jesus dude, were you awake at all that week ? Tony D wasn't there at all. You're talking about Lou Tomasso. The superior observation skills of the peace officer I presume.
  18. So why is the doofus in the red hat not smiling? Is the "superior fit and comfort" of his rig just not so? Or are the "shorts of power" giving him a wedgie? I'm not smiling because I have clearly been unable to think of a good way to weasel out of any more useless captain's meetings. I'll have you know also, that if it wasn't for the mojo contained in my underwear, that we would never had made the record.

    So horny....

You can do much better than that. You didn't even throw in bogtrotting. My new helmet is wired up. You coming out Saturday? We need some pics of the "fire" rig. Powedered wig pillow-biting poofter. OK I'll try, you rectum-faced canvas-humping shit juggler. I will certainly be out this weekend. It just wouldn't do to deprive the mere non world record holding jumpers of our exalted presence. I know that they are all excited about the prospect of seeing us and showering us with love and praise. And as for Mary, I don't think Julie would mind too much. Any time I'm playing with someone else's boobs (not Deuce's man titties), is time that she can get on with other things that she needs to do.

    So horny....

Oh great. You'll do it for that drunken shitbarge, but not for your fine plane captain. He doesn't need your help anyway, he's got an in with the lovely ladies in the Crystal Bar.
  21. Good, I need a rest from you....
