  1. Rob, No, you misunderstand. Remi IS 375lbs out the door.... Ben.
  2. RiggerRob, Thanks for the info! This is the kind of thing I'm looking for! So, she was loading it at about 1.4, well that's what i'll be doing on a 150. I'm not interested in going smaller than that. The 150s I've jumped give a nice mix of performance with a decent glide ratio as well as being a little easier to pack (less material). The reason I'm looking at this canopy is that a friend is selling it and I'm looking for a new canopy - just sort of sounding things out here before I try it! Thanks for the advice Ben
  3. Carrie, Kaz filmed our Brit 4 way at SDB in January (Tanya, Al, Chuckles and myself. The swoop she did at the end of the video was truly *awesome*. Pretty good at the old pictures too!!! Ben
  4. Remi, Come now, if you're going to name drop, do it properly. Remeber, you've met the Biggest Sky (Oh My) God of them all - Our very own Skreaming, sorry, Skreamer! Definately a skygod in the making!! Skygoof.
  5. Gus, You're too *heavy* to jump such a small canopy! What wingloading? 2.1:1 ! Man, you're gonna be swooping good on that one! When are you gonna be around for me to jump the 150? B.
  6. I've not jumped it yet - I'm waiting to meet up with Gus, so I can test it ( you gonna pack for me Gussy?) I'll let you know once I've jumped it! B.
  7. Perhaps you shouldn't have been speeding down the road, overtaking then....! What irresponsible behaviour.... B.
  8. Hey all, I *might* be purchasing a Spectre 150. Currently I have a Sabre(1) 170. I've checked out the PD information about wingloadinds and exit weights. I weigh about 218 or so lbs out of the door and am wondering what people think about loading canopies above the manufacturers recommendations? My Sabre is loaded above PD's recommendations anyway. The Spectre 150 will be loaded at about 1.43 lbs/ft^2. The recommended for an expert is 1.3 and the absolute max is 1.6. Anyone got any views on this subject?? What'dya all think? Spectre loaded at 1.43 (above the recommended for an expert)? Oh yeah, I've got 170+ jumps. Thanks B.
  9. Remi, Don't talk rubbish! We all know that you and Karen are Mr His and Her's matching rigs and jumpsuits!! I've seen ya! B.
  10. Viking, Did you use any kind of filter on the sunset pics??? What appeture and shutter speeds? Pretty awesome man! B.
  11. S, True, I felt the Gath didn't offer *enough* protection from flailing limbs on the way out of the door! The Z1 at least gives me a chance of not getting a black eye; it also gives *excellent* vision compared to using goggles! How about some sitflying instead??? B.
  12. Oi Mush! When are you going to get your arse down to Langar? Trev tells me you're a big, gay, girl's blouse!! You weren't even there at the boogie!!! Get down there B.

    Have fun Wingi!! B.
  14. Carrie, Are Kaz and Mike still up at the Ranch working?? Ben.
  15. Damn, For once I come up with a good idea and it gets totally ripped off! Mr Sony... I too could have been cool and groovy (not copying George or nowt) if I'd just capitalised on my idea. CRAP. As it is, I'll just have to be content with the fact that I've sparked an idea to help all you poor lost souls out there in my little computer. Enjoy your self help group while it lasts - you'll be back in the air again, with just the same problem as before... He He... B.

    Hybrid Diving

Hey Zennie! Seems like you have a dillema! Me too... I love to do both RW and FF, but have to jump with different groups of people to be able to do them! My RW suffers if I FF for a while and vice versa! Would be good to do some hybrid dives, but as Aviatrr mentioned, it's hard work! I was on a 4 or 5 way RW dive recently, which funnelled BIG TIME, and ended up in sit, trying to get down to the formation (I use this term loosely...) which had literally dropped out of the sky. Ring any bells Skreamer?? I love the idea of being able to fly my body in any position and where I want - this involves RW and FF. Guess I'll just have to get used to being mediocre at both disciplines for a while and look forward to doing some really funky jumps later! Have fun! B.
  17. Michele, AA, Are you sure that you two don't want to kiss and make out, sorry UP, I meant make UP.... If I have a sandal, can I wear that? It fits! It fits!! Must be altitude withdrawal - seeing things that aren't there. Man, I NEED A FIX - does this make me a bad person?? My name is B and I am an altiholic.... The first step to curing the problem is to admit you have a problem. DAMN, I *DO* have a problem... Someone help me! I only need one more ticket to ride, just one more, please... Till the weekend!! It's gonna be my birthday party and I'll cry, sorry, jump if I want to! (ticket donations GRATEFULLY accepted). Happy birthday to me for the weekend, happy birthday to me! La la la, tra la la. B.
  18. FFF, There we were, well me anyway, feeling sorry for you about all the medication that you were being *forced* to take and it was a RUSE!! BAD FFF. We always new you were old, didn't need DZ.com to tell us that!! Evening Dude. B.
  19. Hey T, I've got a Z1 and it's not fogged up on me yet (been using it summer and winter) - that's without even lifting the visor! Great lid! B.
  20. Hi Holger! I jump with a guy in the UK who has no legs. He's been jumping for about a year now and we've been doing some kick ass freefly jumps lately (he's also pretty good at RW too!). He proves that you don't need legs to skydive! We jump at a club in the UK called Langar http://www.bpslangar.co.uk . Give them a call, they have had a fair bit of experience with this now - they have a "skydivers with missing limbs" type club that jumps there every couple of months. Wish her good luck for me!! She CAN do it! Ben

    Sabre 2

Remi, Lisa & Mike, Thanks for the info and input! Appreciated. It sure looks like a good option for me, once I get tired of my Sabre(1) 170! B.

    Sabre 2

Aviatrr, Any idea when PD will be releasing some info on the Sabre2? There's nowt on the website! Thanks for the detailed review - perhaps give it to Sangiro, so he can add it to the Gear section of the site? Ben.
  24. Michele, As we all can see, you and AA don't seem to have bonded particularly well... Don't make things personal on here (or am I seeing your comments the wrong way? I don't think so...). This is NOT the place for it - as you well know! Now, shake hands and make up! Hmm, do we have a wedding of the year here unfolding before us?!! B.
