  1. It's great to hear that these altimeters have a vote of confidence. $50.00? I have two teenagers eating me out of house and home...I have to be cheap LOL. Yes, this is the 13,000 ft. one.........hope to try it out this weekend.
  2. Does anyone know about referenced altimeters? I bought one that has been jumped 12 times, perfect cosmetic appearance, absolutely no wear on hand straps.......for $50.00. Did I buy one that will "do the job"?
  3. Hi Jessica - Birds are awesome......I have two hybrid conures (Blue Crown & Nanday), a Quaker Parrot, two Cockatiels and a Peach-face Love bird.........smart, affectionate little winged creatures. What type of parrots do you have?
  4. Dogs are special and devoted.....congrats! Anyone here into birds?
  5. Man, I wish I had easy access to one.
  6. Opening a good can of whoopass can be stimulating and right down fun, but are there other alternatives you can take?
  7. Definately a fart.........for some reason, they smell much worse in the plane.
  8. Last bad habit I have left to kick. Hang in there.
  9. I'm not married, but my wife is LOL. Married and I'm the only one who jumps.....can't talk her into it to save my life.
  10. I'm 6'4" and had two tandems prior to current enrollment in AFF. For my first, the TM was quite a bit shorter and had me sit on the edge of the Otter's exit door while he "pushed" us out - not a problem. My second TM was a bit taller than the first TM but still shorter than I but at the exit door he had me bending a the knees pretty low and he just "rocked" us out without any problem. I think TM's are very flexible and accomodating when height is a "factor".
  11. Thank you, Rocketdog. There is a distinct possibility I may be moving to Ohio in a couple of years as it looks as if my wife's job may take her there............fine with me......more jump money LOL.
  12. Thank you all for the warm welcome.......I really appreciate it. Oh yes, that last name is a doosy isn't it? I should do my C-2 jump this weekend and am looking forward to it. C-1 went perfect in that stability and relaxation couldn't be better. A week later I did a C-2 (1 JM version of C-1 - released) and didn't pass as I wasn't relaxed and had a slow spin. Hope to nail it this weekend.
  13. I guess I should start (although a newbie) as my hearing is pretty shot as is........foam sounds like the way to go.
  14. Great website here......I'm new to the sport (2 Tandems & 3 AFF's) and am still nervous until after the exit LOL. I really hope to learn a lot from you guys. Skydiving has to be the greatest thing I've ever done. I retired from the Army, wrestled bears, earned a Black Belt in Okinawan Kempo, repelled from choppers..........nothing, I mean nothing compares! Now, I've never bungee jumped and don't care to either LOL.
