  1. So what kind of computer, and how much hard drive space do you have available? Blue skies -T1
  2. Where do you find this stuff? Blue skies -T1
  3. I have to say that I like the idea of the iron on design. It gives us the oportunity to put it on any type of shirt we want. Also I would like to see suggestion #2 on the shirt... motto: "This ain't no damn democracy". Blue skies -T1

    Mir Re- Entry

Did you guys hear about the Taco Bell promotion? Just saw it on the News tonight. Apparently, Taco Bell has anchored a large target where the Mir is supposed to land. Story is that if it hits the target, everyone in the US is going to get a free taco. Strange... Someone must have been extremely bored with this one. I'd hate to be the guy who came up with the idea if it actually hits the target and they have to pay up. Could get pretty expensive... Blue skies -T1
  5. Sorry, I forgot to add that they are open all week with the exception of Tuesdays. 12 till sunset on weekdays and 8 till sunset on the weekends. Another option would be either Lake Elsinore or Perris Valley which are only 1 hour north on the 15. Blue skies -T1
  6. OK, I'll be the one to break the news to everybody. I jump in San Diego so here goes. Grasshopper, no more DZ bashing or else I'll have to come up to El-Snore and beat you. Just kidding... But I digress... The DZ has finally moved out to Otay, just to the east side of the lake. You now take off and land in the same area and have no need to take a bus ride back to manifest. If you have any questions drop me a note and I'll be glad to help you out. The DZ is also supposed to be getting a super otter beginning in April. Hope this helps you out. Blue skies -T1
  7. I have a PC5 and a Kenko .5 lens for it. I also purchased it from bhphotovideo.com. They seem to have the best prices I could find. I find that the .5 works pretty well, but if you're going to be flying closer than 5 ft from others, you might want to look at a .45 or a .42. I got some pretty good footage with my .5, but I'm looking at getting a .42 as my shots are getting only heads again. Hope this helps a little. Blue skies -T1
  8. Sorry man, I have the NTSC version, but as you said there do not seem to be any problems with it. You mentioned that you have a mac? What program are you using to edit with? Blue skies -T1
  9. I have a PC5 mounted on one of the new Bonehead Mindwarps and I've never had any problems with it. There doesn't seem to be any problems despite the fact that the camera mount (a PC100 L-bracket modification) is not exactly flush with the helmet. Another option is that Bonehead offers a top mount platform for the Mindwarp that seems to fit very well. Good luck. Blue skies -T1
  10. I haven't seen any mention of it so far in this posting, but the real worry given today's ram air canopies is not really where you get out of the plane. The fact of the matter is that if you are aware of your surroundings and situation, you can almost always find a safe place to land. Jumping according to GPS will most likely get you in the right area, but what is below you? I can pretty much guarantee that yours is not the only plane in the air and I can't count the amount of planes I've seen flying over the DZ while our plane was on jump run. There are other things out there to worry about than getting your jump suit muddy in an off landing... And that's my $.02 Blue skies -T1

    Quincy?

The whole T-shirt thing has been tried before. If someone could actually pull it off this time it would be cool. There's been so much talk about it, Let's do it... Blue skies -T1
  12. Hey Shark, I would have to agree about El-Snore being one of the friendliest DZ's I've been to. Just saw your reference to a new canopy, what did you get? I'll probably be up there within the next week or so so I'll see you guys then. Later. Blue skies -T1
